Jenna, a 14 year old finds her self in a strange situation, something that no one expected.

Sorry if this story isn't that good, it just kinda appealed to me, so I wrote it.

12. 11

"So, how was school?" Mr. Wilson asked after taking a bite of chicken.

"It was good." Max said playing with his food. Jenna kept her eyes down, trying not to call attention to herself. It was weird, dating her best friend, and she didn't know what to do about it.

"And you Jenna, how was your day at school?" Mrs. Wilson said cutting her chicken into small pieces.

"It was good." Jenna said through a mouth full of mashed potatoes.

"So everything was just good? Well then." Mr. Wilson said plainly. It was six a clock, and they were almost done eating, the rest of the dinner was quite, no one spoke. When they were done eating Jenna helped do the dishes. The water was cold so Jenna decided to, well, heat it up. With a snap of her fingers a flame appeared under her hand - in the water - which is surprising, because, well, it's in water. Mrs. Wilson walked into the kitchen and Jenna quickly made the flame vanish.

"Has your hair always done that?"

"Done what?" Jenna asked turning around.

"Well, turn white. It is going back to normal now, so I was just wondering." Mrs. Wilson said picking up some extra plates, she turned to put them into the water. She dropped the plates into the water, and then her hand's touched the boiling liquid. She gave yelp and quickly took her hand out of the water. "Ow! Doesn't your hands hurt?" She grabbed Jenna's hands and turned them over in hers. Jenna shook her head no.

"Is it really that hot? It felt nuke warm to me." Jenna said plainly, sticking her hand's back into the water.

"That is strange, but maybe it's just me." she said wiping her hands on her pants. Jenna continued to wash the dishes, then Max came into the room.

"Hello!" He announced smiling like a maniac. He went over to Jenna and kissed her on the cheek. Jenna nudged him away with her elbow trying not to smile. Mrs. Wilson must of not seen what Max just did because she didn't say anything, or she didn't want to say anything.

"Are you here to help, or are you just going to stand around like a pig out of mud?" Mrs. Wilson asked giving him a pan to wash. Max didn't reply, other, he just went behind Jenna, wrapping his hands around her, and started to wash the pan from behind.

"What are you doing?" Jenna whispered.

"What do you think. I'm washing the dishes." He stated plainly, still whispering.

"You are going way too fast with this "dating" thing." Jenna said, but made no move to stop him.

"And what do you mean by "dating?" Max said, beating around the bush.

"Well, we are fake dating right? So I say "dating."

"Oh, okay. Anyway, I am not going too fast. I am not kissing you, or holding your hand. I am simply washing the dishes while hugging you from behind. If you call this too fast then I don't know if I want to "date." He said smiling. Jenna could tell he was joking, but she still felt a lurch in her stomach, like her mind didn't like that.

"Aw! You two are so cute together!" Mrs. Wilson squealed. Max quickly changed position, turning around, and Jenna simply turned around too to find Mrs. Wilson smiling widely.

"What do you mean?" Max asked, his eyes wide.

"Well, aren't you two dating? I mean, you haven't said you guys are, but I guess no one says anything nowadays." Jenna was frozen, she didn't know what to say, but thankfully Max answered.

"We are dating . . . but we just started a bit ago, and we didn't want to rush into anything too fast." Jenna let out a sigh of relief. Mrs. Wilson squealed again, she was probably more happy then Max at them getting "together."

"Anyway, I will leave you two alone." Mrs. Wilson said walking out of the kitchen. Max slumped agents the counter, letting out a deep breath he didn't remember holding.

"Well then. . . I guess we are dating officially now?" Jenna said turning back to the sink. She started to wash the dishes, deliberately slow.

"I guess we are." Max said returning to his original spot behind Jenna. His hands slid into the water and onto Jenna's hands, she stopped scrubbing the pan for a second then continued.

"What do we do know?" Jenna asked placing the pan on the drying rack.

"Well, It's almost time for bed, and I am going to take a shower." Max said then kissed Jenna on the cheek before leaving. Jenna watched the water slowly drain out of the sink then she left the kitchen, heading to the guest-her bedroom. She quickly changed into her pj's then sat crisscrossed in the middle of her bed. Taking out a note book she started to draw a pare of hands intertwined. The drawing was done in a matter of minutes, and she ripped it out of the note book.

"Which you doing?" Max said coming into the room.

"Drawing what?"

"Hands." Max jumped onto the bed and sat next to Jenna.

"Ooo! They are a couples hands! Is it us?" Max said taking the picture from Jenna. He looked the picture over, then gave it back to her. "Well, it is a master piece, like any of your drawings." He said laying down on the bed. Jenna laid down next to him, placing her head on his chest. Something felt right about that position, like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together. Max started to rub Jenna's back, making her more and more sleepy.

The clock buzzed. Beep, Beep, Beep! Jenna quickly turned it off. She opened her eyes to find a large wolf laying on the edge of her bed. "Max!" She whisper yelled. The wolf shook and look at Jenna. "What are you doing as a wolf! Your parents might see!" Max got off the bed and then, in just a couple of seconds, Max turned back into human.

"Calm down Wolfe." Max said as Jenna quickly looked away from his naked body.

"Put some clothes on, and quick." Max did as she said then fell on the bed face down. Jenna quickly got off the bed, got some clothes, and went to take a shower. When she came back to the room, Max was still in the same position. "What are you doing?" she asked, poking his side. He flinched and rolled over onto his back, smiling.

"I was waiting for you." He said. Jenna shook her head, then put her pj's away. "Come on, lets eat!" Max said grabbing Jenna's hand and leading her out the door. When they got down stairs they went to the kitchen to find something to eat. "Good morning Mother, Father." Max said, nodding to his mom and dad when he said Mother and Father.

"Good morning to you too." Mrs. Wilson replied smiling. Jenna broke away from Max and went to the cupboards to get some cereal. All they had was some Honey Smacks - that one with the frog on the cover, yea that one - any who, Jenna pored herself a bowl and started to eat it. Max did the same and sat opposite of Jenna. When they were done they got up, did their dishes, and went outside.

"So, what should we do today?" Max asked, setting his skateboard on the ground.

"Well, after school we can try to master our powers, and . . . yea, that is all I can think about." She set her skateboard next to Max's and got on it. They headed the school, riding next to each other.
