2. Pastry

Ingredients

2oz Butter

2oz Lard

8oz Self raising flour

Water

 

Method

1) Sieve flour into a large bowl.

2) Chop up the butter and lard into small pieces and add to the bowl.

3) Mix the ingredients with a pastry/ potato masher until a fine powder is formed.

4) Slowly add water and mix with a knife until a dry dough is formed. Take care the dough does not become too wet.

5) Leave for ten minuets.

6) Roll out on a well floured surface, turning frequently, until the dough is between 3-4mm thick.

 

Tip: Never touch the dough with your hands.
