10. Leak Lasagna

Great(ed) Bolognese

 A leak

1tbsp of plain flour

1 pint of milk

50g of butter

Grated cheese

1) Mix the milk and butter in a pan and stir until the butter has melted.

2) Add the flour and stir until the mixture is thick and creamy (this may take a while). This is called white sauce.

3) Top and tail your leak.

4) Cut your leak to the width of your dish.

5) You should end up with sheets of leak. Wash them thoroughly. These will be used in place of pasta.

6) Pour part of your bolognese into your dish so that it covers the bottom completely and evenly.

7) Lay down a layer of leak sheets over the bolognese.

8) Pour part of your white sauce into your dish, completely covering the leak sheets.

9) Repeat steps 6, 7 and 8 until you run out of white sauce.

10) Sprinkle the cheese over the final layer of white sauce.

11) Cook in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 mins.

Tip: The length of time needed to cook the lasagna may change depending on how big it is, so keep and eye on it. This is a great recipe if you are going on a diet as you get lots of veg and protein with very few carbs. It is also a cheap and easy recipe if you are having people over for dinner.
