The Truth?

The truth is always something Charlotte had trouble with. Not because she got in trouble a lot but she was afraid of being hurt, bullied, neglected. She has had all of those things happen to her before. She never thought she could trust anyone until one day she bumps into the boy next door.

46. Chapter 44

Michael's P.O.V.

Calum came out of my room with glossy eyes. "Come on," He said opening his arms so I could cuddle up to him. "What's wrong?" I asked him with knitted eyebrows. "Huh nothing but you look like you could use a Christmas present early." He said with a smirk on his face. "Calum Tomas Hood I will call your mother!" I said joking. "Not that Christmas present you dirty minded freak." He said laughing. "I mean you should get a tree." He said looking into my eyes. "You know I'm not so big on the whole Christmas thing." I said I have a bad time with Christmas he knows this. "I swear you and Charlotte are like offspring's of the Grinch. But listen I know Christmas is a bad time for you but it can be like Charlie Brown's tree." I giggled a bit. "yeah that's how I feel about Christmas because Christmas to me is insignificant, unnecessary, and lifeless." I really hate Christmas it's an awful time for me. "Well maybe I can make it a better time." Calum said rolling me over and started kissing me. "I don't think that's going to work." I said his off of me softly. "Well we can try" he went on. "No, we can't you know I don't like Christmas." I said giving him a joking parental stare. "What is up with you and Christmas I know you hate it but you never why you hate it so much." "Well on Christmas was the first time I self-harmed. Christmas was the first time I stopped eating. Christmas was the first time the voices appeared. Christmas is a bad time for me." I explained blankly. "Now I get it but we are getting a tree for you." "No," "yes," "n-," I got cut off by his lips against mine. Our lips moved in sync. A moan left my mouth. He went down to my neck and found my sweet spot. "Ewww!" We heard someone yell we turned around to see Sapphire. We all started laughing. "Awe is Sapphire grossed out?" I mocked teasingly. "Yes I am," she said in a childish voice. "At least pup and I don't kiss in public." I said referring to the time at Wendy's. "Are you still mad about that?" "Yes," "Hm oh well I regret nothing." We all laughed and sat on the couch watching the rest of The da Vinci Code.
