31. The Time Is Coming

“Wait, this is the underworld?” Iron nodded coming to stand beside me, “What? Were you expecting more or something?” I smiled up at him as a voice sounded through the room. “Well, look who has come home to his daddy.” My eyes shot to the big muscular dude coming toward us, and as Iron walked up to him fear rose in me. “It’s been a while father,” they hugged, “it’s been centuries.” When they pulled apart green eyes met mine, “Who is this,” his eyes went to my stomach? I smiled walking up to him, “My name is Nora. I’m his girlfriend.” He stepped around Iron to meet me, “I see you have someone else here also.” He motioned to my stomach, “Yeah, I’m carrying your grandchildren.” His smile was warm and welcoming, “Well, son you’ve got your hands full already. Have you told her about the growth of the baby?”

He nodded, “Yeah I told her.” I put my hand on my forehead as my vision started to blur, “Do you have a place I lay down. I’m not feeling good.” He nodded, “Follow me.” He turned and made his way down the hall in which he emerged, and as we past the big columns I noticed two huge openings inside them. Iron wasn’t too far behind me, and I felt his hand touch my back. Thats when the dogs emerged, two huge dogs that stood as high as the columns themselves. “They’re just hellhounds. They won’t hurt you,” Iron’s reassuring words made me relax to my best ability. I grabbed his hand, and squeezed it. We arrived at a door, and Iron let go of my hand, “Here’s our room. Please get some rest.” I looked at his father, “What should I call you?” He smiled brightly, a smile that lit his face up. “Just call me H.” I nodded and went into the room, and Iron sat my bag by the door as I entered. The bed in the room was covered in red and black sheets, and the walls were a dark burgundy color. It was beautiful to say the least.

I heard the door click behind me, and for once I felt like I could sleep and not be disturbed. That might sound kind of stupid seeing that I was in the house of the devil in many religions. I can’t honestly say that I’m afraid, death has always been a fascination to me. The questions that no one could answer. The questions that only our creator could answer. I made my way over to the bed, running my hands against the silk fabric. As my flesh touched it all my muscles relaxed, but the room was silent. Too silent. I pulled down the covers climbing into the bed, and I found myself overwhelmed with the will to sleep. As my eyes closed the room slowly went into darkness. So much light, so many voices, voices that were shouting. I was standing in a room, in a room that would have been in darkness if not for the candle. I was standing before a book, a book that was written in an old language. This was a language that hasn’t been used in over thousands of years. It was a dead language. I ran my fingers over the page, and one little picture after another began to turn into words. “ When the sun is in the sign of Geminis, two twins shall be born. From that day the world will slowly go into ruin. A war will come to the lands, a war not between mankind, but a war between good and evil.” This must be the prophecy that they were talking about, and I couldn’t believe that Iron could write something like this.

My brain was running wild with possibilities, and strategies, but it all came to one conclusion. Iron. The metronome they say will be the key to the war, maybe if I could use it then I could stop all the violence in the future. I was running out of Ideas, and light started to come into the room my eyes came open. I looked at around the room, and then I felt something war beside me. I looked over to see one of the dogs from before laying beside me, but it was way smaller. I put my hand over it’s head, and red eyes opened to look at me. I smiled as it got closer to me. I was really hungry, and as I smelled food my stomach growled. I sat up in the bed to see a table full of food. I quickly got to it picking up sandwich from the table. As the flavors hit my tong I relaxed, and let one of my hands rest on my belly. Thats when I felt a kick. I stopped chewing for a second, and there was another one this one harder than the other one. “Easy in there,” I finished the sandwich. Iron walked in right after, and he was smiling brightly. “Good morning baby. I see you have began eating.” He kissed me on the cheek, “Yeah, the babies are kicking.” He turned to me smiling, “It’s almost time.” I smiled as the thought of holding my children, “The time couldn’t be more right.” As I stood water hit the floor under me, and Iron turned me to me quickly. I looked down at the floor then back to him, “They’re coming.”
