Free Verse-ish

Let it be known, I hate writing free-verse with a burning passion. But, when a poem calls, I must write it. This is a collection of such poems.

We were the oldest friends

Back when we could

Forget what words they

Say,

And we were thick as thieves

Until they took our

Words away.

You are five years too early to

Be lecturing me about

Forgiving crimes that

We committed,

And I am seven years too late to

Be reminding you that

Even old friends have their

Limits.
