Chapter Three: You look hot in my shirt

It was late. The room was mostly dark, the dim light from the movie casting light over the still figures lying around the room. The room was silent except for the low murmur of the telly and the occasional snore from Michael. Luke was sprawled on the floor fast asleep, while Michael had claimed the recliner. They both fell asleep shortly after we started the second chick flick, most likely from jet-lag.

Calum had fallen asleep during the beginning credits of the third movie, claiming half of the couch. I was still awake, my eyes focused on the screen as the cast of Some Kind of Wonderful got ready for the 'big date'. My body tensed when an arm slipped around my shoulder. From the corner of my eye, I could see Ashton shift closer to me. My heartbeat sped up as his arm slipped down around my waist, his hand resting on my side.

"You okay, Ashley?" He asked, his voice low. He leaned closer, his lips on my ear. "You seem nervous."

He was laughing at me. So what if I was barely able to breath right now, I had to prove him wrong. Closing my eyes, I took a steadying breath. I could do this. I shrugged nonchalantly, leaning my head onto his shoulder.

"Who me?" I asked innocently, snuggling into his side. He froze as I lazily rested my arm on his leg, my hand sitting on his knee. He gulped audibly, running his free hand through his hair. I held back a grin as I realized I was making him uncomfortable. I shifted my head so I could whisper in his ear easily. "No way."

"You sure about that, sweetheart?" He asked, his stubble brushing against my soft skin. It created a strange friction that sent the butterflies in my stomach into a frenzy. He shifted us so I was halfway under him, his legs straddling my hips. I sucked in a deep breath, not sure what to do. It felt good - he felt good. Shit, what was I saying? This was Ashton. His hands moved from the chaste spot on my waist to my hip bone and the small strip of bare skin there. His lips brushed softly against the skin of my neck, pulling me closer. "You smell good."

I caught my breath as I felt his hand push my tank top up, brushing his fingers against my side and along my flat stomach to my belly button. His lips stayed at my neck barely touching the sensitive skin. My heart rate skyrocketed as his breath skittered across my flushed skin. Then his hands froze, his lips pulling away from my pulse, and his eyes meeting mine.

"Wha-?" my words were cut off as he pulled away and took a peek at my stomach. His eyes lit up and a smirk pulled at his lips.

"Since when do you have a belly piercing?" he asked with a devilish grin.

My eyes widened at his question. Nobody was supposed to find out about that. Sadie and I had gone for my birthday last year. Since she already had her belly pierced she decided to get her cartilages pierced while I pierced my belly button.

"Since my birthday." I replied with a soft voice, not sure what his reaction would be. I wasn't expecting him to flip us over, pull my body closer to him, and bury his face in my neck again.

"That's hot, Ash," he mumbled into my hair, running a hand up the back of my shirt and tracing circles against my skin. It was a soothing motion. We sat there, wrapped in each other for awhile. My eyes were drifting shut by the time he pulled away. I forced them to stay open, forced myself to stay awake. He smiled lightly at me as I snuggled back into his chest. "You're so beautiful, Ashley."

"Whatever, Ashton." I shot back through a yawn. I peeked around and noticed the credits rolling. "I'm sleepy."

I felt his laugh before I heard it. I was pressed against his side again and his laugh came from deep inside. My mind focused on his laugh. The sweet sound echoing around inside my skull and slowly driving me crazy. "I like your laugh."

"Thanks, sweetheart." He smiled sweetly down at me, brushing loose strands of hair away from my eyes. "Now go to sleep. You look like you need it."

I nodded slowly, my head already falling to his shoulder to use as a pillow, my pale blue eyes closing and my breathing slowing down. I could feel myself drifting into sleep and couldn't help but fall asleep cuddled up to my childhood tormentor turned...friend?

I woke up the next morning in my bed, only wearing a big t-shirt. I was so confused and only got more confused when I realized who's shirt it was. I screamed a little actually. Then I had four boys running into my room trying to figure out what was wrong.

"Ashley?" Luke called from outside my closed door. He knocked lightly on the door before it was thrown open. "What the hell Ashton!"

"Ash? What happened?" Ashton asked as he rushed to my side. I backed up a little, still confused and half asleep. Ashton looked hurt, his pretty eyes looking away. He also looked rumpled. His hair was messy, but in a cute bedhead look and he was shirtless. My eyes widened a little at that. Calum and Michael had joined Luke in my doorway, but I ignored them. Ash was kneeling next to my bed looking up at me.

"Ashton?" I asked calmly, trying to ignore the urge to stare at his abs.

"Why. The. Hell. Am. I. Wearing. Your. Shirt." I said with my jaw clenched and a blush rising on my cheeks.

"Oh, um," his cheeks turned a light pink as he stuttered. Wait. Ashton Irwin was blushing. I made him blush.

"You know what, I don't want to know." I muttered as I shook my head. "Get out of my room."

He stood up slowly backing away. "Sorry, Ashley."

I looked up at him in shock. "D-did you just apologize?"

"Yeah," Ashton said with a smirk, his cheeks still pink. "Don't let it go to your head."

"Whatever." I mumbled under my breath. Speaking up I shot a glare at the boys huddled in my door. "Get out. All of you, go. Now."

They all hurried to leave, Ashton hovering a little longer than the rest of them. I turned away, walking to my closet.

"Hey, Ashley?"

"Yes Ashton?"

"You look hot in my shirt."

I rolled my eyes. Picking up the closest thing to me, which happened to be my hairbrush, I chucked it at him. He ducked and laughed as he walked down the hall.
