Chapter Thirty-Six: Oh Shit

I'm not sure how, but I got separated from the lads. Eleanor and Perrie managed to stay by my side though. The others girls had gone home a few days ago. El kept a grip on my hand and led me to a tall table.

"Per! Order us some shots!" El giggled, leaning against the table top. Perrie grinned back before turning around and heading in a different direction.

I stood next to Eleanor, swaying my hips to the music. My eyes scanned the crowd in search of my boyfriend. I needed to talk to him. I needed to tell him.

"Ash!" A shove to my arm brought me out of my thoughts. Perrie stood next to me, her eyebrow raised. Eleanor laughed, running a hand through her hair and plucking up a shot.

"Let's get all kinds of drunk tonight, yeah?" El asked, lifting the small shot to the center of the table. Perrie nodded, grinning and copying Eleanor's actions. Glancing down, I saw four more shots sitting on the table. Picking one up, I clinked it with the other girls in a toast.

"Definitely!" I laughed before throwing back the shot.

A couple beers and quite a few more shots later and we were smashed. I stumbled into Perrie's side, a giggle escaping my lips. Eleanor reached for my shoulder, pulling me back into a standing position.

"Have you seen Ashton?" I slurred, peering at the other girls. They both shook their heads. "I need to tell him I love him."

"You go girl!" Perrie giggled, shoving me towards the bar.

"I think I see him over there at the end of the bar," Eleanor mumbled, squinting at the bar. I stared in the direction she was looking. There was a blonde boy leaning against the bar with another boy that looked like Ashton.

"I'm going to talk to him," I informed them, staggering away from the table. My steps took me into the dancing crowd, the hot sweaty bodies bumping and grinding against mine. I managed to push my way through the crowd, and soon bumped into a tall brunette with curly hair.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, pushing my body flush to his. Without any hesitation, I leaned into him. His hands rested on my waist, his face inches from mine. It was getting harder and harder to keep my eyes open as I leaned most of my weight on him. I was so drunk, but his eyes were so very green.

"I love you," I mumbled to him right before I pressed my lips to his. He hesitated, his lips not moving for a few seconds. I pressed closer to him, nipping at his bottom lip as I tried to get a response from him. His hands tightened on my hips as he kissed me back.

There was no fire, no tingles. It was a good kiss, but there was no sparks like I usually felt when I kissed Ashton. There was no heady scent, no tightening in the stomach.

Something was seriously wrong.

A grip on my arm, pulled me away from the kiss and into a skinny pair of arms. Looking up, I realized I was being held up by Louis. Turning back, my foggy brain registered an angry looking Ashton right before he punched a very drunk and surprised Harry.

Oh shit.
