mint frappucino

"I just don't get how people can have a cold frappucino in the morning, but not some damn coffee or tea!" you spoke with exaggeration as you moved your arms.

I sit back with the green straw on my pulled up lips. I giggle at your little ranting and begin to take a sip of my cold mint frappucino.

This conversation was quite ridiculous, but at the same time I enjoyed listening to you. You had stopped talking, staring straight at me as if you expected me to share my opinion. I put my drink aside on the small bar table and said, "Let's face it. We're polar opposites."

"So I'm too hot for you?" you asked with a smirk, which is soon dropped as I open my mouth to speak.

"More like... I'm too cool for you."

9. winter

Day five at Starbucks, and I had decided to make it an everyday routine to show up. It's amazing how I still wasn't sick of drinking a cold mint frappucino for five days straight.

We were sitting by the bookshelf, which was now known as our spot. I learned that you were into football as in soccer, and that you had a bunch of siblings. You described each and every one of them and even showed pictures. You told me how you worked as a film screen writer and even asked for my opinion about some of the projects you were working on.

I then talked a bit about myself, apologizing afterwards for if it seemed a bit boring, but you were actually quite fascinated with me. You even told me one of your secret hobbies was to sit at home and play the piano as you sing.

It was now the fifth day and we were sitting next to each other. I only read another few pages of Gatsby before you showed up. Luckily today was a Saturday and we both didn't have work.

"Ouch, you gave me a frost bite." you said as I laughed.

"Just drink your tea, Tomlinson." I said as you rolled your eyes and took a sip.

We had been here for five hours already, having our third slice of cheesecake. As you told me about the time you used to work at Toys R Us, and how it was the only job you did not get sacked from. I laughed as you told me how you tried to woo girls back then by playing with the toy instruments.

"Wait, so she literally asked to have the piano?" I asked with a giggle.

"Yeah, what sucked was she didn't notice me, and it took me a week to get her to notice me." you explained as we laughed some more together.

The door swung open and we looked to see a pretty young girl, probably around our age walk in with a guy walking beside her. You're face had froze and for a second I got a tad jealous, thinking you probably wanted her.

The girl looks at the menu then at the shop as her friend orders for them. She noticed us and soon said, "Louis? Is that you?"

You gulped and stuttered, "Yeah, hey El."

I kindly smiled as she looked at me and returned a kind, genuine smile as well.

"Who's this?" She asked nicely. You cleared your throat and said, "Eleanor this is my friend Winter.

"Winter this is my ex-girlfriend, Eleanor." you said while we shook hands.

Ex-girlfriend. That actually explains why you're nervous as hell.

"Nice to meet you!" said Eleanor as I said, "Likewise!"

We chatted for a few minutes before her friend came over and handed her a drink.

"It was good to seeing you Louis, and it was so nice meeting you!" said Eleanor as she walked out with her friend, who turned out to be some guy named Max.

"You okay, Louis?" I asked.

"Um yeah, it's just weird seeing my ex." you explained as I nodded my head, understanding what you meant.

"You haven't moved on, have you?" I asked. You cleared your throat for the second time today and looked down at your cup as you spoke.

"I have, but not in the way where I started dating again."

I felt my heart sort of sink. Does this mean you don't think of me as more than just a friend?

A/N Oh God no! WHY DID I WRITE THIS CHAPTER, AND WHY DO I FEEL SO HEARTBROKEN FROM IT?!

Also got my progress report and I have a C and D in two classes, which means I might not update for a while. I have dumb teachers who suck at grading and teaching, so blame them. Lol
