Boy In Luv

3. Chapter Three

I stepped through the door warily. I didn’t know why I was summoned. I just looked at Suga as I sat down on the little chair across from him. He was paler than when he was when I first saw him and he was fast asleep, even snoring slightly. He looked so innocent, I didn’t want to wake him. I just pulled my knees up to my face and waited.

I must have fallen asleep because I opened my eyes and Suga was sitting up looking at me.
“You look beautiful in white.” he whispered with a smile. I shook my head at looked back at him.
“How are you? You must’ve summoned me for a reason.” I stated.
“I need you to know that I’m fine and I don’t blame you for anything.”
“You’ve said that a million times already. I’ll believe that you are fine when you aren’t still in hospital.”
“Well, I’m probably going to miss school for the rest of the week. You don’t need to worry though.”

I saw the stitched cut in his forehead, undoubtedly from when he smacked his head on the table. I sighed and got to my feet.
“I’m not going to stop worrying until you stop acting as if I did nothing. I’ll let Namjoon hit me on the way out.”
“He’s not going to hit you.”
“Don’t be so sure. I’ll tell him to hit me.” I growled as I stepped through the door and out into the corridor.
“Shin-hye!” Suga shouted but I wasn’t going to someone who always came when they were called. I strode straight up to Namjoon.

“Hit me.” I said sternly.
“What the hell? No!” he growled.
“Just, hit me.” I snarled. He slapped me with no force at all. I huffed and looked directly into his eyes.
“Punch me as hard as you can.” I said putting emphasis on every word. He sighed in defeat and tightened his hand into a fist and punched me. I staggered back, I swear I could see stars. Someone held me up before I could fall over.
“Shine-hye, are you okay?” Jin asked in my ear. I blinked, trying to clear my head.
“I’m fine, Princess. Can you let me go?” I asked.
“I’ll take you out and if you still can’t walk when we are outside I’ll take you home.” he said with no space for argument.

Jin had to take me home so now they know where I live. I walked through the door with him following. My mother came to meet us at the door.
“Shin-hye, where have you been?” she asked.
“I was at the park but Suga wanted to see me at the hospital.” I explained, trying to stand up straight.
“Why did you bring him home?”
“No, this is Jin, he decided to aid me in getting home.” I said.
“Why would he need to?”
“She challenged my friend to punch her and I had to make sure that she got home alright.” Jin butted in.
“Well, thank you for that, Jin. You seem like a good kid.”
“No problem. Shin-hye, you’ll be okay?” he asked.
“I’ll be fine.” I grumbled as I moved in the direction of the stairs. I was fine, just a little bit light headed. I didn’t want to be treated like a helpless child.

I checked my phone, it was midday. I couldn’t go to school today because of the deathly painful headache I had. I dreaded what anyone would say when I arrived tomorrow. All the “oh my god are you okay?” and Namjoon’s probable “I knew I shouldn’t have listened to you”.

Three missed calls from Suga, and one text. I opened it. ‘Are you okay, Jin says that you’re not at school. Call me.’ I sighed, they shouldn’t be worrying about me. I didn’t want to call him, so I decided to send him a text. ‘I’m fine, don’t worry about me.’ As if magic my phone went off with a call from Suga. I had no option but to answer it.
“You have some explaining to do.” he growled.
“I got Namjoon to punch me and I may have a minor concussion. Not much explaining was necessary.” I sighed.
“Really, Shin-hye, you had to go and get yourself punched?” he asked.
“Yep, and stop worrying about me, worry about yourself or something important.”
“Not gonna happen sweetheart.”
“I will intentionally punch you again next time I see you.”
“Sure, I’d love to see you try.”
“Someone’s a bit cocky today, I see.”
“I hate you.” I grumbled as I hung up, rolling over in my bed. Why can’t anyone leave anything alone?

I’d ditched my first few classes by sitting in the nurse’s office. I had a rush of dizziness before I got to class and what better way to avoid everyone than to be somewhere they wouldn’t look for you? It actually didn’t take very long for lunch to roll around and I only dreaded any of the guys noticing me, which was highly unlikely, seeing as they hadn’t seen me at all today so they hopefully wouldn’t be looking for me. I avoided eating yet again, I wasn’t in the mood and it was easier to see someone when they were in single-file.

“Shin-hye!” someone called. I groaned and turned to see Jungkook waving his arms above his head. I notice the bowed head next to him, platinum blonde hair. Suga. I decided that I had no choice but to go over to them. Suga didn’t look up when I sat down opposite him and Jungkook.

“When will you guys just leave me alone? I mean, I’m the one who beat Suga halfway to hell and I don’t even know why you guys still want to be around me when I’m not even your friend.” I hissed. Suga finally noticed that I was there and looked up at me, astonished at the words that had just left my mouth.
“Well, some of us believe that you deserve to have someone looking out for you, no matter how many times you fuck up!” Suga shouted, slamming his hands down on the table and abruptly standing. He gave me a look that brought the thought, ‘if looks could kill’ to the forefront of my mind. I felt everyone’s eyes on us now. I stood to match Suga’s rage, I had an inch or two on my side but he was about one step away from smoke coming from his nose like an angry bull.
“Well, maybe I don’t need anyone to look out for me!” I shouted, raising my volume with every word. I felt a rush of dizziness and caught myself on the edge of the table on my way down. I felt someone’s arms wrap around me under my arms and pull me up onto my seat. I huffed and looked toward Suga who was lowering himself back down into his own seat, watching me with obvious worry.
“Shin-hye, are you okay?” Jin asked from beside me, his hand on my shoulder. I nodded slowly.
“Ne, I am alright. I just got a bit dizzy there.” I stated.
“You’re not alright. Namjoon, how hard did you hit her?” Suga asked simply, not looking at Namjoon, just keeping his eyes on me at all times.
“She told me to hit her hard, so I did. Not full force, but enough to send her staggering.” Namjoon said, matter-of-factly. Suga sighed.
“I’ll take you to the nurse’s office.” he said, getting to his feet and walking around the table to help me up.

“You know, I’m fine. You don’t need to escort me to the nurse’s office. I’ll be perfectly fine if you send me to class.” I said as he towed me down the halls his hand firmly wrapped around my wrist.
“You shouldn’t have told Namjoon to hit you. Now you have to put up with me having to make sure that you are okay.” Suga growled.
“What about you, are you okay?” I asked. I was tired of his stone-cold act.
“I’m fine.” he said as we walked into the nurse’s office. Jenny, the school nurse with her warm brown hair came to meet us.
“Park Shin-hye, I thought I wouldn’t have to see you for the rest of the day. What’s happened?” she asked with her sweet voice.
“She fainted at lunch.” Suga butted in.
“I would hardly call it fainting. I just got a bit lightheaded for a second and fell.” I objected.
“Well, come and have a lie down, dear. Min Yoongi, you should be going as lunch break will be over in a few minutes.” she said.
“No, Suga. Stay please.” I whispered. I don’t know why I asked him to stay but he looked back at me with shocked eyes and nodded.
“Alright, just for a little while.” he said with a grin.

I was holding Suga’s hand while I lay on the little bed in the addition compartment to the nurse’s office, a cool wet cloth on my forehead. Neither of us said anything, but he stayed anyway.
“I better be getting to class.” he said eventually, dropping my hand and standing. I don’t know what made me think it was a good idea to speak but whatever it was it can leave me alone thank you very much.
“I love you.” I whispered. Suga looked back at me from the doorway, nodded once and left me alone with my thoughts.
