Krista Jenkins had an great life. She was great in school, she was great at sports, and she was great at singing. Despite all these accomplishments, she felt that she was just another face in the crowd.

A/N: Hi guys! So this is my first Fanfiction on this site, but I have written some Fanfiction previously on and Wattpad. I hope you all like it! Also, I know all the times and phases of Mikey's hair are incorrect, but ignore that... 😂

Krista's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

I whack the snooze button on my alarm clock grumpily. I am not a morning person.

Today is the first day of twelfth grade, and while I was looking forward to seeing my friends, I was also dreading the thought of having to wake up at 5:30 AM every single day.

I swing my feet out of my duvet and onto the floor, standing shakily. I make my way to my chair, where my outfit is already laid out: a flowy white top, my favorite pair of black skinny jeans, new black converse, and a small galaxy bow for my hair.

I place my thick, wavy brunette hair with natural red hi-lights onto my head with my bow before grabbing my phone and my backpack and heading downstairs.

My cat, Nika, sits impatiently on the countertop, waiting for food. I pat her head and give her a scoop of cat food. I sigh and grab an apple to eat.

But before I get a chance to dig in, I glance at the clock and freeze. It was 6:45. The bus would be here any minute.

I swing my backpack onto my shoulders, the weight of it surprising me.

"Bye Mom! Going to school now!"

Not waiting any longer, I push open the front door and head to the bus stop.

Michael's POV

I walk towards the front doors of the school with my best mates, Luke and Calum. We are in a band, 5 Seconds of Summer, with our other friend Ashton, but we aren't that special.

I'm okay at school, I guess, but I'd rather be jamming with my band or playing video games.

I keep on thinking about how bad it will be when I see a girl I don't fully recognize. She has beautiful brown hair and stunning blue eyes. She's tall and lean and her cheeks are speckled with freckles. She rushes to a group of girls that must be her friends.

Among them I recognize Eva Andrews, Sofie James, Natalie Jackson, and a few others I don't know personally.

I suddenly remember. Her name is Krista Jenkins. Why couldn't I think of her until now? How come I've never talked to her before? She's been in my grade since we were 12. How did I never notice her?

She's so beautiful. I have to talk to her.

I walk confidently towards her, my currently blond hair hanging in my eyes. Her friends notice me. Evawhispers something in her ear before leaving Krista with the rest of the girls.

I walk up to her and look her straight in the eye. She looks down at her converse, rocking back and forth on her feet. God, she's gorgeous. The wind blows a strand of her hair out of her bun and onto her face. As she tucks the strand back into her bun, she straightens her posture and looks right back at me, as if she's daring me to speak.

"Hi... I'm Michael." I say, trying to sound smooth.

"I know who you are. You're always in the band room playing with your friends, right? I like your sound." Krista begins. "In case you're wondering, I'm Krista, and I play the viola in the orchestra room while you're hogging the band room."

Krista smiles, her eyes laughing for her.

I lean in close to her face.

"If it bothers you so much, why do you like it?" I whisper, before walking away to the front entrance to the school.

Krista's POV

I feel heat rise to me cheeks as Michael walks away. School just got a lot more interesting.

A/N: I'm sorry it's so short, but I thought that this would be a good place to end it. Next chapter will be up ASAP! Thanks for reading!
