Sherlock and the Time Lords (BBC Sherlock/Doctor Who Crossover)

Before John came, Sherlock had met two people. Two aliens, to be exact. One male, one female. What happens when their worlds meet? Only time will tell.

3. Chapter 2

~~Sherlock blinked at them in shock. "I'm sorry," he frowned, "did you just say if I wanted to travel with you?"
"Yes..." Doctor said slowly.
"Travel with you two, in space and time, which is impossible?"
"I accept."
"...what?" the two aliens looked at Sherlock confused.
"That's it?" Layla frowned. "No questions or anything?"
"Oh," Sherlock chuckled, "oh I have lots of questions to ask you both, but that can be for later." Sherlock turned to the console with interest. "I want to see if this travelling is real."
"Okay." they said nonchalantly, pressing random buttons and switches.
"Let's see Earth from a distance!" Layla grinned, pulling a lever, instantly the ship shaking madly.
"Oh!" Doctor yelled through the tremors of the ship, glaring at his sister. "Look who's leaving the breaks on now!"
"Oh shut up!" Layla rolled her eyes at her brother. "I think it is kind of tradition for our guests to experience time travel with the breaks on!"
"Are you's crazy!" Sherlock yelled through the noise, clutching onto the railing tightly. "You're going to get us killed!"
"Pfft..." the siblings chorused, exchanging a look.
"We've done this for centuries." Doctor waved off.
"And no one has died from this." Layla added. She then frowned in thought. "There was that time when Doctor here fell into the pool..."
"Oh no one needs to know that!" Doctor interrupted, trying to save the embarrassment that was coming from the topic. "I blame your driving skills."
"Me!" Layla glared at her brother, before moving next to Sherlock. "Ignore him," she said to him, motioning to her brother, "he's just trying to save his so-called reputation."
“Please, can you take the breaks off?” Sherlock begged, full-on hugging the railing now. Doctor snorted at the sight, making Layla hit him on the back of the head, scowling. She reached for a lever, pulling it, immediately the ship freezing. Sherlock collapsed on the ground from the sudden halt, breathing heavily. Layla went to his side immediately.
“You okay?” she asked him concerned.
“Fine, I'm fine.” he wheezed out, taking deep breaths.
“Sorry.” she muttered. “I think we went a bit overboard.”
“Oh, don't get all softy now.” the Doctor teased her, making her glare at him.
“Says you.” she retorted. “You just about had a small relationship with every companion of ours.”
“Did not!”
“Did too!” she retorted, helping Sherlock up. “Come on, you got to choose our companions, why can't I? I want to have a best friend for once! Not just my brother and his girlfriend.”
The Doctor and Layla stared at each other for a while, while Sherlock stood next to her, looking at her confused. No one has ever shown him kindness, and it felt weird that he got it from an alien. A good-looking alien. “Sorry if it felt like that, sis.” the Doctor said softly. “I didn't mean to.”
“It's okay.” she said with a smile. “I don't hold a grudge much.”
“Um...” Sherlock shifted on his spot uncomfortably. “Are you guys done with this sentimental thing?”
“Yes!” Layla snapped out of her stare with her brother. “Come on, we're here.”
Layla lead him to the door, opening it immediately. Sherlock stared out in wonder, his hand still in hers. He unconsciously squeezed her hand lightly, leaning forward a bit. “This is...” he trailed off. “We're in space...”
“Yep.” she grinned,
“How are we breathing...”
“One of the many perks with a TARDIS.” she whispered, staring out at Earth with content. The sat on the ground together, staring at Earth, their hands still twined together.
