Hands, Bands, and Other Trends

4. 3: 43 AM

There is a little bird within my room

It flies away, it sings, it zooms

But never to me it comes

Because I am not the one.

There is a little flower upon my desk

I found it among the rest

I picked it for its vibrant hue

But I have so much more to do.

There is a little cat that spies the bird

And I assure you this absurd

For they have begun to chat

And here I thought the bird would be eaten by the cat.

These are all lies, I swear,

I have no need for them anywhere.

There is no bird who flies about

And no little flower that sticks out.

There is no cat that see this bird.

Behold the power of written word.
