16. The Good Stuff

Adriana’s POV

The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. He spent just as much time making the inside absolutely beautiful. There were twinkly lights up all over the walls giving a warm glow to the tree house. There was a blanket placed in the middle with food and board games. I don’t think I have ever been happier than I am right now.

“This is beautiful Alex!” Honestly I thought he was going to take me on some date that he’s probably taken a dozen other girls on.

“I didn’t want just any other date for you. You are more special than that. I wanted you to have something that you would remember. I figured that this would be something that you would love. Something that you would remember.” I was standing in the middle of the room at this point and Alex slowly walk towards me. “If you don’t like it. I mean. It’s seem stupid now. I can take you to some expensive instead.” He started rambling. I think that any other he dated used his money and would have thought this was cheap, but I loved it.

“Stop it right now. I love this. I’m not the other girls you’ve dated.”

“I know,” he started looking down at his hand nervously.

“This is perfect. I don’t want an expensive restaurant, full of people. I want this right now. We get to sit and talk and laugh and there is no one else to ruin that for us.” I was genuinely happy. Nothing could have been better. “Now let’s play Monopoly! I must warn you I am the champ.”

“On the contrary, I am the master. I’m not taking it easy on you.” This is so easy between us and I love it.

We spent the night play games. I did lose at Monopoly, he got Park Place and Boarder Walk and won 20 minute later. We had the weirdest mixture of food, but it was all my favorites. We shared sweet kisses throughout the night, then he took me home ten minutes before curfew. With a long goodbye and a promise to text me tomorrow, he drove off and I went inside to deal with my mom’s questions.

Alex’s POV

Wow, my heart is no longer mine.
