“I cannot believe we made forty grand in less than half an hour.”

Michael counted the money then spit the money between them; then he got the ten grand that the driver had given him and halved that too.

“What we going to do when Ronnie finds out that you ripped him off.

“I will say that he told me we were bringing eight keys not ten. That was the deal right?

“Yes but this is Skinner we are dealing with here Michael not a petty crook.”

“Two keys is nothing to a man like Skinner.” It won’t knock that big a dent in his profit.”

“Forty grand is not small potatoes Michael.”

“We will be long gone before he finds out; come lets go out and celebrate.

“How about the Sands club in Whitley Bay?”

“Sound’s good to me.”

They ordered a taxi and went to the Dolphin first where Michael left a message for the captain of the Sea Fairer.”

“I’m on the high tide out of here later tonight my friend.” I suggest you get on the first plane out of here and not to Spain.”

They got back into the taxi Michael carried his holdall with his cash and his clothes with him.”

The taxi driver asked where they were going and Michael told him.

Craig Howard the doorman asked Michael what was in his bag and he told him that he was a fisherman sailing later and it was his clean clothes he opened the bag and showed him the clothes on the top.

“Go on then but leave the bag behind the bar said the muscular doorman.

“Johnny went up stairs with Michael where the music was in full swing.

“Let’s get this party started then; what you having?

“Beer for me Michael?

“Two beers and get one for yourself.

“Thank you said the girl I will have a half of lager.”

“Michael passed her a fiver; then took his change and sat down.”

“Well cheers matey here’s to a happy retirement.”

Johnny clicked the glasses together. “Are you going back to Ireland then?

“Yes, it’s a bit hot here for the moment but I will be in touch don’t worry.”

By twelve thirty the revellers from the bars started piling in, Michael never noticed the man on the telephone.

He dialled the long number written down on a piece of paper; he had to wait before being put through.”

“Yes they are both here and one of them is carrying a holdall.

“Okay said the voice on the other end. I think I know where they are going.”

Keep and eye on them until I get something set up.” I will call you back.”

Ronnie Skinner Smiled to himself as he sat in the Brewers Droop.”

He turned to Peter Binns laughing; they have just turned up in my club.”
