Would you like to play a little game with me then?

“Yes, have you got a football with you?

“No I mean some writing games.

“Oh alright then; where here?

“We will go somewhere where it is quiet is that alright?

“Yes, Jackie stood up then followed Mr Milton and Mrs Backhouse into a lift that took them eight floors up and which said research on the wall.

They went into the room where there was a glass screen in front of him and a table with various pieces of paper.

“Now the first test is one of memory Jackie. “ Do you think you can do that?

“Okay.”

“John said; I want you to remember these five things Jackie, fish, bottle, mirror, carpet, and sky.”

He then passed him the first paper with more mathematical things on it; like how many sides had a cube, a triangle, and a rectangle.

Then there was the shapes that had to be put together to form a square.

John tipped them out of the frame in which they were stored and asked Jackie to fit them back together against the clock.

John Milton had a stop watch then asked Jackie not to start until he told him.

“Are you ready?

“Yes;

“Three, two, one, go.

Jackie fit all the pieces together in 3.2 seconds.

Jackie sat five more tests then asked him to recall the five things that he had asked him to remember.

Jackie not only got them all right but in the correct order.

Thank you Jackie;” now if I showed you how to work out a sum do you think you could do one yourself.

John Milton took him through the sum then asked him to do the one that was on the paper.

Jackie did it so fast even Emily and John were amazed.

The whole test had been filmed through a two way mirror.

“Well that is it young man thank you and I hope to see you again in the future. Now would you wait in the corridor until I’ve had a word with Mrs Backhouse?

Jackie picked up the book she had loaned him then went into the corridor and sat down.

This kid is amazing Emily; he not only has a photographic memory but he can pick up things after just been shown only once.

“This boy could be a mathematical genius; a scientist, or anything he damn well chooses Emily.”

“We have to nurture that brain of his.

“We also have to remember that he is only a four year old boy John.”

“How are we going to keep this a secret?

“I do not know that but I know one thing John you or anyone else for that matter are not going to use this boy like some scientific experiment.
