The Removed [Book #2]

It's been a month since the three hunters and Terry's death. Vivian, Graham, and Julia, along with Lewis, have been staying at the Miller house. There has been little news on the missing girls, leaving Vivian to wonder if she should find them.

Then something happened that changed everything.

#1 - BOUND

13. Julia

If anyone asked me his name, I couldn't tell them. He was always so secretive, about his life, his motives, and why he picked me. Again. But, as I lay bound in the darkness, I wondered if it would even matter in the end.

I didn't think I would live long enough to find out those answers. My thoughts turned to Vivian, and as they did, I started to cry. Soon, the crying turned to wailing, and the wailing turned to outright screaming.

Screaming until my voice gave out.

Light flooded from somewhere, and then blackness encased me once again. I heard his footsteps come closer before he grabbed the sleeve of my shirt and hauled me up.

“Come with me, darling,” he said.

Where he was leading me, I didn't know. Worse yet, I didn't know if I would come back alive.

Before we exited the room, he slipped a cloth around my eyes so I couldn't see anything. He forced me to walk down something that I only assumed was a hallway. It smelled like Chinese food, which was the only good thing about this otherwise fucked up situation.

“You know, Julia,” he began casually, like we'd known each other forever, “the first time I saw you, it wasn't in the woods. I saw you when you were working as a waitress. You never noticed me, but I always saw you.”

I stopped walking. He didn't drag me. He didn't even touch me. Slowly, he took the blindfold off. It fell from my eyes and I looked at the dimly lit hallway ahead of me. There was a door at the end. He gripped my shoulder.

“Do you want to meet the other girls?” he asked.
