When you are the target of the most popular boys in school... What are you supposed to do?

4. sarcasm

    Cassie’s POV

I immediately got on the bus, not in the mood for any possible conversations with teachers or my friends. I stormed to the back and sat down, and only hoped no one would sit beside me. I began to doodle once again in my sketchbook and soon I saw someone sit beside me out of the corner of my eye.

“Hello.” A cocky voice said beside me. I rolled my eyes. “You roll your eyes a lot.”

“What do you want?”

“Aw, can’t my tutor be a little nice to me? It’s only my first day.” He said in a fake, pitiful voice.

“Look, I’m not have the best day, so can you and your little friends just get out of my life?”

“What?” He played dumb.

“I know you and your friends are using my friends for some sort of prank or bet or something. I’m not an idiot, but if they hurt a single one of my friends, I will be coming for you.”

“You mean you don’t want to fuck me like every other girl in the school?” I cringed at his cruel language.

“No. I’m not like any other girl at the school. Now quit playing nice, and act like the jerk everyone know you are.”

“Why? I’m just trying to be your friend, and you aren’t making it easy.”

“I don’t want to be your friend. This whole tutoring session thing, is completely professional. It’s not my fault you don’t have the capability to add two and two.”

“Is it four?” He asked sarcastically.

“Goob job! Do you want a treat?” I replied in the same tone.

“Why are you always so rude to me? What did I ever do to you?”

“First of all, it’s not rude. Using sarcasm is a sign of intelligence. Secondly, you and your friends run the school without giving a second glance to people like me. You haven’t given me the respect I deserve, so why should I give you any at all?”

“There was a second glance, plus a few more.” He mumbled. “Did you know you look a lot like Ashton?”

“I’ve been told.” I angrily said, and look at my outfit. I was wearing overalls that were rolled to my mid calf, white vans, a white v-neck tee, and a red bandana tied back my hair.

“Fine, be sassy.” He said and we didn’t speak the rest of the way to the bus stop. We then walked to our own houses and I soon heard Paisley scurrying about behind us.

“Cassie!” She shouted. “Cassie! If you and Luke are going on a date, can you drop me off at Barnes and Nobles?”

“We aren’t going on a date.” I scoffed. “So no, try not failing your driver’s test next time.”

“Sorry.” She whimpered.

“Take it easy one her.” Luke scowled.

“Since when do you care?” I snapped.

“I have always cared about you two. I grew up right next door.”

“Well, then why did you split away? Oh right, you were too busy messing around with the prom queen. Oops.” He guiltily looked down at the pavement, and we soon were in his house.

“One minute, I’m going to change.” He walked down the hallway and i got my things out and began my own homework for math. Soon, he reappeared in just black sweatpants. No shirt on or anything. I gasped. “What?” He laughed.

“Put a shirt on.” I grumbled.

“No this is ‘strictly professional’ so you can’t tell me what to do.” He sat down.

“Fine, then turn to the problem you were having trouble with last night.” He did so and I then saw his work on the page. The problem he said he didn’t understand was sitting there, perfectly worked out on his sheet of notebook paper.
