The rings were put into two boxes then carefully wrapped before the girl handed them over with the receipt.

“Good luck said the girl as the two of them left the shop and took a bus back to the Glenmoore.

“Rose you will have to sleep in another room tonight and here is a fiver for the taxi fare. It is unlucky for the groom to see his bride before the wedding.

George asked Moira and Andrew Stewart if they would act as best man and bridesmaid George also invited Edna and Jan Barber.

He told them that the taxi would pick them up at eight o’clock in the morning.

Moira said that she would supply a little celebration for them as a wedding present.

Moira showed her to her room and George went to his where they both waited in anticipation until the morning.

Mollie took the bag of carrots and apples and fed the horses. While she was away Irene told Bobby that she didn’t want to rush into another relationship and that if he was prepared to wait they stood a chance of it working out.”

“I’m not going anywhere Irene; I want you, but I can wait. My father always said that “A patient dog eats a good bone.”

“Speaking of dogs, where is Cassie?

“Colin took her to the vet to get her inoculations; working on the farm she can pick up all kinds of diseases from the cattle especially the sheep and pigs.” She will be waiting for me when we get back.” Speaking of which I think we ought to be making tracks.

“Mollie mount up, we are leaving.

Thunder began to break wind very loudly and Mollie and Irene laughed out loud.

“So that’s why you call him thunder.”

After the plates and food that was left was put back into the hamper the woollen blanket was folded and put on the top then secured to Thunder again.

Irene was able to get onto the horse by herself this time.

“I’m getting the hang of this now.”

“Good now see if you can turn Angel around.”

Slowly Irene tugged to her right and the horse turned.

“Well done, we will make a cowgirl of you yet.”

“Can I lead this time Mr Ross?

“Okay but don’t get too far ahead.”

“I won’t, walk on Bella, walk on. Good girl.”

“Are you going to stay until the end of the week or are you going back?

“Well that depends on where you are taking me tonight.”

I thought we could go to the pictures with Mollie as there is a good film for her to watch.”

“I meant just you and I Bobby without Mollie.”

“Where would you like to go?

“I would love to go and see a show or some live music.”
