Our relationship. It wasn't sonnet inspiring, the story of it won't make thousands want to listen. But it was complicated and it was special to us. It was certainly more than I bargained for from just seeing a boy with a football helmet across the room.

80. Eighty

Ten months pass and everything just settles.

I don't feel like I'm waiting for anything else to happen, I don't feel like there's anything else to be said, it's just done and things carry on. I don't make an effort to keep in touch with him but at the same time I'm not making an effort to ignore him either. We're just kind of neutral towards each other, like if I'm on Skype to Dan and Harry comes into the room, we'll say hi to each other without it being too uncomfortable.

Freddie and I aren't together anymore. Nothing went badly wrong, we just sort of realised it wasn't a serious thing and we drifted apart a little and we didn't want to drift so we decided to just be friends instead and I'm okay with that because we still spend time together all the time. I'm really content with being single. It's been so long since I've just had a chance to be by myself and focus on myself and that's refreshing.

I'm on Skype to Dan and Tom one day when they both look at each other. I frown.

"What's with that?" I ask.

"Shall we tell her?" Tom whispers.

"I don't know." Dan whispers back.

"Guys, you have to tell me now!" I say, curious. "What?"

"I mean you're going to find out either way, we just don't know whether we should maybe give you a little warning." Tom says.

"Just tell me!" I say and they nod at each other.

"Harry and Leigha are getting married." Dan blurts out and I don't know why but my stomach ties itself in knots. I don't know if I'm just shocked or if it's just because it's a big thing or whether I feel like this automatically because I used to be in love with him.

"Oh." I say, trying to hide whatever it is I'm feeling. "That's great. Tell them I said congratulations."

"Well that's the thing, an invitation should get to your house soon." Tom says and I frown.

"Really? Why?"

He shrugs. "Your family is close with his family, you know. That's what he's telling us anyway. I think he just wants you there to be honest."

"Why would he want me there?"

"You were his best friend when you dated you know?" Dan points out.

"Yeah but in the last ten months we've probably said five words to each other."

"It's a big day. I think he'd regret not inviting someone he was so close to."

I don't know what to do about this. I guess I just go, it's not like I have to talk to him and Leigha for very long, I just need to say congratulations and then it's done which is good because I'm still kind of hurt by Leigha. I get to see all of the guys as well which is a bonus. Maybe it'll be odd to see Harry marrying someone else but I can't exactly say no. It's not like I want to marry him anyway.
