The Celestials

Area 51 is a secret government institution that is meant to hold and hide half aliens, also known as children of cosmetic powers. There they are experimented on and trained to become special agents for specific missions. As more children mysteriously show up dead, a half alien girl attempts to regain her memories through switching realities to find the killer.

The tension in the air was so thick, Alex didn't think he was able to breathe. The tension everyone had lingered the moment they started this mission and it annoyed him. First, it was Nathan and Aaliyah fighting over whether she should come, now it's Nathan fighting with Hailee. Those two were always at odds. Alex assumed because she was jealous of Nathan having the majority of Aaliyah's attention. Now, it's because Nathan decided to leave Aaliyah. Alex was pretty surprised by his decision, but he also knew that Nathan was still Gilmore's lapdog. Either way, he was tired of the constant bickering. He thought this was going to be a fun adventure but he just got caught in more of Nathan's stupid drama.

They continued to track the artifact while attempting to avoid those creatures. The silence as they explored was getting to him, the only the sound of wind cut through the quietness. No one was communicating and he admitted that it scared him. Yes, the one with the power of luck is scared. Well, not for his life, but for his friends. When they get back, he did not know if everything would be the same. He might as well start a conversation.

"Are we there yet?" he whined. "My feet are killing me! Can't you guys just fly us over the mountain?"

"And miss an important detail?" Haillee answered with irritation.

"Gilmore gave us a map to the assumed location right? Why don't we just follow it?"

"Because it's an assumed location idiot!"

Alex silently snickered at her anger.

"The map is better than not knowing at all." he countered.

Hailee pushed him against the icy rocks. He forgotten she absorbed Nathan's strength as well.

"Listen!" she hissed.

"I'm tired of you and your commentary! This is my first mission so I can prove myself to Gilmore, we don't even know where we're going, and my best friend is missing! I have had enough of you!"

Alex smiled slyly.

"What are you gonna do? Kill me?"

She let out a low growl before coming in for a punch. Alex moved his head with ease. Hailee hit the rocks with a loud crack creating a crater.

Alex bursted out in laughter.

"I knew you didn't have it in you-"

He was pushed against the rocks again, this time by Nathan.

"Stop it! Both of you!" he looked to Alex with a serious expression.

"Stop being a nuisance, it's not helping!" he then looked to Hailee.

"Control your anger! You're not the only one who cares about Aaliyah! I want to look for her too! But we have a duty!"

Hailee brushes him off.

"To hell with duty! Aaliyah is gone and we've failed to do anything about it! If you won't look for her, I will!"

She squeezed Alex's shoulder painfully and took breath as if she was feeling his energy.

"You can't just take my power without me agreeing!"

"With both of your powers, I'll be fine. I'll go look for Aaliyah while you guys look for the artifact, I don't want to be neither either of you right now."

Before they could say anything else, Hailee flew off.

Nathan cursed under his breath.

"We can't keep separating, this is going to be a disaster. "

Alex took Nathan's hand in an attempt to comfort.

"Don't worry it'll be alright in the end. I know it sounds cheesy but it always ends up right doesn't it?"

The other boy let out a sigh.

"You don't know how much I want you to be right."

He squeezed his hand harder and continued to follow him.
