3. Doc There's A Hole Where Something Was

I climbed in bed with my laptop and opened the site Brendon was looking at earlier. I had three new messages, two from Hallelujah87 and one from a new person. I clicked Hallelujah87's first.

Hallelujah87: Hey

Hallelujah87: I talked to Patrick today, we're friends.

PunkSoul84: That's cool! How are you and your dad?

Hallelujah87: Okay I guess.

Hallelujah87: He got mad today but didn't yell at me.

PunkSoul84: That's good right?

Hallelujah87: Maybe :/

PunkSoul84: :/

I clicked back to my inbox to see the message from the new person.

SexyBAEsisst: Daddy kink?

SexyBAEsisst: Jk. Hi

PunkSoul84: umm hello

SexyBAEsisst: I'm new to this site so I don't know what to talk about

PunkSoul84: Well, what's your name?

SexyBAEsisst: Too personal for me, what's yours?

PunkSoul84: Patrick

SexyBAEsisst: Cool I like that name

PunkSoul84: Thanks

SexyBAEsisst: Your welcome :)

SexyBAEsisst: So...

PunkSoul84: What kind of music you listen to?

SexyBAEsisst: Just punk stuff I guess haha I like your username

PunkSoul84: Thanks lol I like yours too it's, like, perfect

SexyBAEsisst: Thanks anyway I gotta go talk later

PunkSoul84: Okay, bye

I closed my laptop and lay back on my bed, drifting to sleep.

"Have you seen the new math teacher, Pat? " Karolin sighed dreamily. "I don't know his name but I will know today. He's my first hour class." She smirked.

"No." I laughed. "But go get 'em tiger." I winked at her.

"Wow." She rolled her eyes.

"So, uh, Kare?"

"Is Kat okay? Did she tell you what's wrong?" I asked, worriedly.

"I don't know, Patrick." She sighed. "She won't talk to me."

"I'm gonna go to your house and check on her." I said and she half smiled at me as the bell rang.

"Okay, I'm gonna go see my hot new teacher." She winked and I made my way out of the school doors.

I hopped in my car and drove all the way to Karolin and Katherine's house.

I knocked a couple times and no one answer so I pushed the front door open. The lights were off except for one, the bathroom.

I ran towards the bathroom door and leaned my ear against it. I heard the shower running, so I knocked. "Kat?" I called out. She didn't answer but I heard crying. I knocked on the door again, only harder and shouted louder. "Kat!"

There was still no reply so I threw the door open to find Kat sitting in the bath tub, curled in a ball, the shower pouring down on her. "Kat!" I ran over to her and put my arm on her shoulder, the water was freezing, but she kept her head on her knees, staying in the fetal position.

I reached up turning the water off, kneeling back down and looked at her shaking frame. She finally looked at me and not even caring that she was completely exposed, threw her arms around my neck and began sobbing.

"Patrick." She whimpered.

"Kat. Oh my god, what happened?" I asked, panicked.

She didn't answer and continued sobbing uncontrollably into my shoulder and neck. I slowly pulled her arms from around me and pushing them back to her slightly, hinting to cover herself as I got her a towel.

She slowly wrapped her arms back around herself and went back to the fetal position, her tears still flowing freely as she sobbed loudly. I quickly grabbed the towel and handed it to her. She wrapped it securely around her body and threw her arms around me again.

I hugged her back, running my hands through her dripping wet hair. Once she finally stopped crying I asked her once again what had happened. "Patrick you don't want to know." She whispered. "You wouldn't want to be my friend anymore. It was my fault anyway. I shouldn't have done it."

"What is your fault? Kat what happened?"

"I-I just wanted to go to the store." She cried.

"Kat? What are you talking about?" I asked with wide eyes.

"I w-was," she sniffled, "I was j-just going t-to the store f-for a drink." She took a deep breath before continuing. "Then some random guy, I-I don't know who i-it was. H-he - he." She broke off in tears again and suddenly I didn't want to know the end of this story. My mouth became dry and my stomach churned. I was going to be sick.

"Oh god." I pulled away from her and turned toward the toilet, emptying the contents of my stomach into the white bowl. I pushed myself up from the floor and quickly left the bathroom, not thinking, I left Kat on the floor. I just needed air for a moment.

I could still hear her cries as I walked out the front door. "I told you!" She cried from the doorway of the bathroom as I stood in the doorway of the front door. "I told you, you wouldn't want to be my friend anymore!" She fell to her knees, burying her face in her palms.

I ran back over to her wrapping my arms around her and she flinched away. "No Kat. I'm just- I don't- what do we do?"

"Nothing." She whispered burying her face in my chest.

"What do you mean? We have to do something, this guy needs to be caught and put it jail for what he's done to you." I said, pulling her away a bit so I could look into her eyes.

"I don't want to do anything." She said and I could tell it was an obvious lie.

The longer I stared into her eyes, the more I could see how scared and broken she truly was. "We have to do something." I told her.

"I know." She whispered, looking down to the floor. "But we can't."

"Why not?"

"I can't tell you. I've already said too much, Patrick. Now go back to school before you miss lunch and don't tell anyone what I've told you." She told me and pulled me in a tight hug. "I'll see you later." She whispered.

"Go. Patrick, now." She pulled away and pointing to the front door I left standing wide open.

I hugged her one last time. "I love you Kat." I whispered.

"I-I love you too, Patrick." She whispered back and just as I was about to go, she pulled me into a kiss. I melted into the kiss and pulled my hands through her hair as she wrapped her arms around my waist.

Once she pulled away I left. I didn't know what to do. What to say. I just didn't know.

"Mom! I'm home." After school I left without saying anything to anyone. I couldn't talk, there was nothing I could say. I wanted to tell someone, my entire body ached to tell someone. But I couldn't. I didn't even want to believe it.

No one replied so I sighed and made my way to my room. I lay down on my bed and stared at the ceiling.

After a few minutes of laying there I, of course, grabbed my laptop. I quickly signed and checked my inbox.

No Messages

Who would have guessed? The loser has no messages. I laughed sarcastically to myself and decided to message SexyBAEsisst.

PunkSoul84: Hey I really need someone to talk to right now.

After a few minutes I got reply.

SexyBAEsisst: What's wrong?

I decided wether or not I should tell him, I mean, he doesn't know me in person.

PunkSoul84: It's a long story...

SexyBAEsisst: I got time.

I sighed and began typing. I told him everything. Everything. I told him about Kat liking me and how she suddenly stopped talking to me. I told him about today. I told him what happened to Kat. Poor, Kat.

I hit send and waited for a reply. And waited. And waited. And waited. I glanced at the clock, it's been about an hour since I sent him the message, I let out a frustrated sigh. I did something I shouldn't have. He probably thinks I'm annoying for pushing my problems onto him. I slammed my laptop closed, pushed my chair away from the desk, got up, and crawled into my bed, going to sleep.
