4. Chapter 3 - My Fault

Louis POV

It’s my fault. It’s all my fault. I made her do that dare. I was the reason that she fell. I was sitting against the wall of a gas station, blaming myself for everything that just happened.  I heard a pair of feet running. I looked up, and saw Liam running towards me.

“There you are, mate!” He exclaimed, out of breath. “We’ve been looking for you everywhere! Harry even pulled out your fake sonic screwdriver! Of course, it didn’t work, but STILL!” He sat down next to me. I didn’t look up. “Hey, Lou…” He trailed off. I stared him in the eyes.

“It was my fault. It was all my fault.” I stated. Liam turned to face me.

“Don’t you say that. Don’t you EVER--” he started.

“But, it’s true. I made that dare. I made her lean against the railing. It’s my fault she’s DEAD.” I spat out the word ‘DEAD’ like it was poison. Liam started to speak again.

“NO.” I interrupted, standing up. I took one last look at Liam, and ran. At any other time, I wouldn’t have minded being shorter than Liam, but at that point, I was really annoyed. I kept running, praying that Liam wasn’t chasing me, when I literally ran into this girl. We both toppled to the ground. Luckily, I didn’t land on top of her, but I did this ninja master somersault over her and landed a few feet away. I got up, still dazed, and saw the girl. She reminded me of Zayn as Veronica, but she had caramel-blonde hair and was wearing black.                                             #SEXYASSISTANT

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you.” I apologized. She stood up.

“Really? Because I saw you.” She replied smoothly. I gave her a confused look. “Um, I mean, when you were just about to run into me.” She corrected joltingly. I stared at her longer. After a while she sighed. “There’s just no fooling you, is there?” She retorted. She pulled out a syringe and injected it in my neck before I could move away. The world went blurry and I blacked out.
