10. Chapter 9 || Close call

I could hear whispers. I opened my eyes to see Grace and Chloe on my bed smiling at me. "Um, you guys aright?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "We're going shopping!!" Chloe screamed. Grace looked tired and as if she didn't want to be here. "Grace, why are you coming? You don't even like shopping." I asked sitting up. "Well" She started and pointed to Chloe. "This one, said I had to come because we're 'besties' ." "Okay, get out. I need to shower and get dressed." I said laughing at Graces comment. The two got out and I turned the shower on and started washing myself. I put on some ripped jeans and a red flannelette shirt with some grey vans. "Girls, I'm ready." I called. "Do you girls want a lift?" My mum asked. "Nah, we're right." Chloe said. We all walked out and headed to the bus. - "Which one, orange or pink?" Chloe asked Grace, who was on her phone checking tumblr. "Uh, How do I know?" Grace said in a 'duh' expression. "Oh c'mon Grace. Didn't your parents ever take you shopping?" Chloe asked putting the clothes down. "Of course they did. But they picked out the clothes, not me." She said. "Lets go. This place is way too expensive." Chloe sighed. "You only realised that now?" Grace scoffed. Chloe glared at Grace as we left the store. "Hey guys, can we go in here?" I asked pointing to the huge store on our left. "A news agency?" Chloe and Grace both asked. "Yeah, can we?" I asked again. The two girls rolled their eyes but agreed. I ran into the store and started looking through the three year old newspapers and magazines. "I hate these stores." Grace muttered. "Me too, why do you want to look at newspapers? Why don't we just go to a book store?" Chloe pointed out. "Why do we even have books? Just use your phone." Chloe made a face. "Hey, I like books." Grace said. "Of course you do, nerd." Chloe smiled as Grace scoffed. "Will you two shut up. Just because this isn't a library doesn't mean you have to be loud." I said. "I found them Felix." We heard a call from outside, there stood Ryland and Felix. "What are you guys doing in here?" Felix asked. Chloe stood behind me glaring at him. "Homework." I mumbled. "Lily, It's holidays. Have some fun." Ryland said. "I'm doing extra homework for my lo grades." I lied. "Gross." Grace looked up and wrinkled her nose. I looked through a few more articles before finding something interesting, "You know what's more boring than newspapers?" Grace said out loud. The librarian hissed at her to be quiet. "You know what's more boring than newspapers?" Grace repeated whispering. I raised my eyebrows looking at her. "Not talking in a store." She stated with a huff. "Can't we just go somewhere else?" Ryland asked. "Yeah sure, I'm going to buy these articles anyway." I said going up to the front desk. after purchasing the articles we left the store. "Where to now?" Chloe asked. "Lets go to the arcade." Grace squealed. They all agreed. "You guys go, I'm just going to call my mum. I'll catch up." I waved them off and pulled a couple coins from my purse out. "Hello?" A familiar voice said through the phone. "Hi." I said twirling the phone cord around my fingers. "I miss you." He said. "I miss you too, I wish I could stay but I have to hang out with my friends." I said sadly. "Do you have to?" He asked. "I don't want people finding out about us." I hinted. "Oh right yeah, Aha. Are you coming over today?" He asked. "Is twelve times twelve one hundred and twelve?" I smiled. "No..., it's one hundred and forty four." He stated. "Dang it! I'm bad at math okay." I said. I could hear him laugh through the phone. "You're funny." He chuckled. "I have to go now." I sighed. "Okay, I'll try and see if Eliza could tell me anything." He suggested. "Okay, see you later. Bye." I said and hung up. Some one tapped my shoulder. Felix. "You dropped this." He handed me one of the articles. "Thank you." I said grabbing it and walking away. "Why the attitude Parker, what did I ever do to you?" He asked. "What did you ever do to me?! You broke up with my best friend and now trying to go out with me." I pointed out. "She practically hates you." I said. "Hates me?! Every one love me, except you." He snickered. "Well I know a huge percentage that doesn't like you." I smirked. "Stop thinking you're little miss perfect. I know you're hiding something." He smirked. "Why do you say that?" I ask "Everyone has a secret little one. Even the innocent ones." I took a deep breath, pretending not to hear him. I have more important things to do, and a typical player like him wasn't one of them. - I had to call Ollie to tell him I wasn't going to be able to go to his house today. Grace insisted that everyone should go over to her house. And I couldn't say no, her mum is the best baker I've ever met. After two hours of goofing around and chatting. Grace's mum called us down to eat. There was no food left after we had eaten. not one single thing left. "Do you want me to take you home love?" Grace's mum asked me. I declined and grabbed my bag to head home. It wasn't that big of a walk home. Only a few roads away. I started walking home. As I got there I heard chatting. Loud chatting. I left my key inside, repeatedly knocking on the door, foot steps got louder and louder. The door swung open causing me to jump in fright. "You okay?" Abigail asked me. I nodded and headed up to my room . As I scrolled through my contacts I clicked on one that made my face light up. "Hello?" Ollie asked through the phone. "Hi, just calling to say goodnight." I whispered smiling. "Why are you whispering?" He asked. "My sister's room is right next to mine. I don't want her to find out about us." He laughed. Why didn't you come over today? I was getting worried. "One of my friends wanted me to come over, I could not say no. Her mum makes the best food. Don't worry I saved you some." I giggled. "Fine but you're going to have to have some first, I don't want to be poisoned." He chuckled. "Says the guy that said my safety comes before his." I smiled. "Hey!" He said. "What do you want to do tomorrow?" He asked. "Hmmm, I don't know. We could make a fort." I suggested. "Sounds good, I made them all the time when I was younger." He said. "I can't wait," I grinned. "I have to go to bed now." I sighed. "Sounds like a good idea, Good night Lily." He said and hung up. after putting my phone on my night stand I got into bed and was about to drift off to sleep if it wasn't for the voice I heard. the same one I heard earlier. Too scared to peek out of my window I snuggled into bed and grabbed my headphones and plugged them into my phone and listened to my music. Hoping to muffle the noise from out side. I like writing this story. Just so you know Lily and Ollie's ship name is Lollie not Oily. Lol I have a ship name for my characters :). Hope you liked this chapter. And this is not a horror fanfic!
