Call Me Daddy • C.H

"My name is Calum, but you can call me daddy."

"How about fuckboy instead?"

5. Ch.5 • Make Me

I arrived at the game dressed in a black shirt and skinny jeans, my usual attire. It was quite cold outside and I was strongly regretting not bringing a jacket.

"Why did you have to bring me to the game?" Chase complained.

"Because Delilah got grounded remember? She watched Teen Wolf until 5 in the morning again." I explained.

"I still don't see why I have to go. I don't even go to this school." He muttered.

"You're here because I'm a great friend and you love me." I said as we took our seats on the cold bleachers.

We were sitting in the second row which was surprising because tons of people from my school were filling up the place.

"I hate public school." Chase commented.

"You'd probably hate the lunches more." I replied.

"I'll never understand how people get so worked up about a sport event. It's not even a professional game!" Chase said.

"You can continue to hate this, or you can suck it up and pretend to have a good time. We're staying either way."

"You sound like my mom."

I rolled my eyes at him and then turned my attention towards the field. The teams were still warming up, but seemed as if they were nearly done. I spotted Calum amongst his team members near the closer goal. They all wore red jerseys, and it was strange to see Calum in any color beside black or white.

The referee blew his whistle, but me not being a sport person, didn't know what that meant.

"It means the game is about to start." Chase whispered.

"How did you know I was wondering that?" I questioned.

"When you're confused you get this look on your face, and I know that you don't know sports, so I put two an two together." He explained.

Once again I rolled my eyes at him and looked back at the field. The team had now gathered at the benches, and were probably talking about their plays or something. They then all put their hands in and yelled a cheer of some sort, that I wasn't able to comprehend.

After they finished Calum turned to look at the bleachers, his eyes scanning the rows of people. Him and I then made eye contact, and he waved at me with a small smile on his face.

I waved back at him, hoping the redness of my checks wasn't visible from where he was standing, but knowing how I was it could probably be seen from Japan.

"Didn't I meet that guy at the park?" Chase asked.

"Yeah, I believe so." I said, remembering the past weekend.

"Are you guys dating or something? I would be very hurt if you were and you hadn't told me." Chase said.

"No we aren't dating." I answered. I could tell that my checks we returning to their bright red color.

"Are you guys friends with benefits?" He asked.

"Hell no!" I responding.

"That sounds like something someone who was friends with benefits with him would say."

"Stop being so annoying."

"Or what?"

"I don't know, I'll call your mom or something." I threatened, knowing it was something he'd make fun of.

"That's lame." He replied.

"Just like you." I said in response.

Some people were now jogging onto the field, Calum being one of them.

"Admiring your lover?" Chase asked.

"Dylan O'Brien isn't here Chase." I replied.

"You're so difficult."

"But you love me anyways."

"I would come up with some kind of insult, but the game is starting." Chase said.

I looked away from Chase and focused on the field. Calum was up at the half line, and I knew he was one of the people that does most of the scoring.

The reff then blew the whistle and the game started. After the team kicked the ball everyone instantly started cheering which was something I'll never understand.

"Why are they cheering? All they did was kick the ball." I asked.

"Don't ask me, you know I'm not into sports." Chase answered.

A while later it was half time and the teams were tied 2-2, and Calum had scored 1 goal.

The teams had finished talking, but their was still a few minutes left in halftime. I saw Calum break away from his team and walk towards the bleachers.

"I think your lover is coming for you." Chase said, nudging me in the arm.

"Oh shut up." I replied.

Chase seemed to be right though. Calum was coming this way and I wasn't sure if I wanted him to be coming to me or not.

"Hey Andrea." Calum greeted.

"Hi Cal."

"I'm glad to see that you came."

"Well I do love sitting on hard bleachers while being surrounded by loud annoying people." I said sarcastically.

"She loves staring at you though." Chase blurted.

"Chase!" I exclaimed.

"Well I equally enjoy staring at her too." He said, giving me a quick wink.

Once again my face heated up and all I wanted was to disappear.

"Hood! Get back over here!" The coach yelled.

"Be there in a minute coach!" Calum yelled back.

"Don't lose! If you do I'm gonna be upset that you made me come." I warned.

"Don't worry, I'll score the winning goal for you sweetheart." He promised, giving me a wink again. He then turned and jogged back to his team.

"Are you sure you aren't dating?" Chase asked again.

"Yes Chase. I am 100% positive. I want nothing to do with him anyways." I lied.

"Alright, but I give it a week before you guys are all over each other." Chase said.

"I hate you."

The game was nearly over and the teams were still tied with only 3 minutes left.

"Looks like your Prince Charming won't follow through with his promise." Chase commented.

"When are you going to let this go?" I asked.

"I think your ship name should be Caldrea or Andrelum." Chase said, not answering my question.

"Shut up Chase."

"I'm leaning more towards Andrelum, but they're both pretty good. I did come up with them after all." Chase said.

All of a sudden the crowd started cheering so I looked towards the field. Calum was on a breakaway and had just shot the ball. The goalie dived for the ball but missed it by a few inches. The everyone started cheering even louder as the ball entered the goal and I was sure my eardrums had shattered.

Calum turned back my way and pointed in my direction.

"Hey he did it!" Chase said. "Andrelum is alive!"

"If I had known you were going to be this annoying, I never would have asked you to come."

"But you did, and making fun of you makes this game worth going to."

The game continued for another minute before the referee blew the final whistle and the crowd went wild again.

"Well I'm glad that's over." Chase said as he stood up. "I assume you'll want to congratulate your lover."

"How many times do I have to tell you to shut up?" I asked annoyed.

"He's walking over here." Chase informed me. "I'm gonna go wait in the car because I don't want to be a third wheel."

"No Chase come back." I pleaded.

"I don't want to get in the way of Andrelum."

"Will you shut up?" I said for the millionth time.

"Am I interrupting anything?" Calum suddenly asked from behind me.

"Absolutely not. I was just gonna go get the car." Chase said. He then quickly turned and walked away.

I turned back to Calum and we just stood there for a few seconds.

"I scored the goal for you like I promised." Calum said.

"Yeah, you did a good job." I complimented.

"Can I walk you to your car?" Calum randomly asked.

"Yeah, sure." I answered.

We then started the steep walk to the top of the bleachers.

"This is more exercise than I usually do in a year." I joked once we reached the top.

"You do look quite winded." He replied.

"Just kidding, but not really." He said, whispering the last part.

"I take back what I said about you doing good in your game then."

"Oh really?" He asked, taking a step closer.

"Yes. In fact, you did horrible." I stated.

"Is that so?"

We were now extremely close to each other and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

"Yep, you're probably the worst player on your team." I said.

"Oh shut up, you know I'm the best." He replied.

"Make me."

"I will."

Then without realizing it I was leaning in towards him and he was leaning towards me. Our lips were a mere centimeters apart and I could feel his breath against me.

Suddenly a car horn blared and we both jumped, making us nearly hit heads.

"Come on Andrea! Time to go!" Chase yelled from the car, giving me an evil grin.

"Well I'll see you at school then." I said awkwardly.

"Yeah, see ya." Calum said, running his hand through his hair.

I angrily walked towards Chase's car and got in.

"What the hell was that! You saw that we were gonna kiss! I thought you were Andrelum as fuck!" I said angrily.

"I am, but I want to get home." He stated.

"You're a horrible best friend." I complained.

"Yeah, but you love me anyways."
