30. Epilogue

Naieesha Muzuike Cabada grew up to be a fine young lady.

As soon as she stepped off the plane, she ran to the hyena's den, and in the best way she could, explained to her pack why she couldn't be with them anymore. "I'm going to make a difference," she told Kaiani, "I'm going to change the world.

And in a way, she did.

Natalia taught her granddaughter how to speak fluently in both English and Swahili. She learned to dance, sing, and be a part of Africa.

When Naieesha turned eighteen, she decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and teach in the small village school. She was loved and respected by all the children. Often, she took the children on field trips to visit her old home. Kaiani was always there to greet them until the end of her days.

Unfortunately, after one hundred and two long years of life, Natalia passed away. Days after her funeral, however, Naieesha found an old sheet of music written by her grandmother. She sang it to her baby girl every night, until she was so inspired, she flew back to New York and got it published right away. Today it is known as, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." In a way Natalia's wish came true to become a world famous singer.

The Walters family adopted a little girl and boy from Kenya as soon as it was legal.

Naieesha also wrote a book about the whole experience, not only about becoming human, but a successful person altogether.

And that is what you have just finished reading.
