Hyena Child

In the hot, wandering wilderness of Africa, we find Naieesha, a twelve year old girl who has been raised by a pack of hyena's her entire life.
When Thomas Walters, a man on safari, discovers this girl, he captures her and brings her home to his wealthy family in New York.
Things aren't always what they seem.
Lost and alone, Naieesha's behaviour is intolerable. She fights, eats with her hands, and will do anything to get back home to her beloved pack. Both her and The Walter's family are at their wits end. Can Lena Van Helsing, a teacher for the deaf and misunderstood, step in and save the day?

12. Chapter XII - Naieesha's Perspective

Now I know these humans are trying to kill me.  All of them.  The hunter, the hunter's wife, his pups, and that swan woman especially.

They ignore my cries in the night. They fed me maggots. The hunter tried to stab me, and he took my mane. My beautiful mane.

My head is on fire. I cannot contain my rage. I'm growling. Screaming.  Kicking.

Kaiani. My pack, where are you. Take me home before it is too late. Rescue me from this evil world like you did from the lions who tried to devour me as a pup.

Azubuike. I am so sorry. The hunter shot you, and now you are gone. I only wish you would come back and find me. I am lost without you.

I shall never forgive those humans. I shall never be one of them.

I am alone.
