Here's the update lovelies <3 sorry it took 4ever :|

Hilary's POV

I woke up to the sun beaming through the curtains. I was on the couch and I saw Luke snore quietly on the other couch. We must've fell asleep when watching movies. I rubbed my eyes and got up and stretched. There was a blanket in the closet and I put it on Luke. In the meantime, I decided to go take a shower and freshen up.

I got out and put on a light blue shirt with my black jeans and put on my black converse. I pulled the sides of my hair back and decided not to do my makeup because I had nothing planned for today.

"Yeah I'm coming." I heard Luke say in his wake up voice downstairs. "I just fell asleep at a friends. I said I'm coming Ashton." I raised my eyebrows in confusion and decided to go downstairs.

"Good morning." I said walking into the living room.

"Ew no. I can't talk to you, my breath is kickin'." Luke said. I laughed and told him that I have a extra toothbrush. He accepted and followed me to the bathroom.

"Thanks." He said taking the brush from me. I nodded my head, making my way out to toast us some waffles.

"What is that beautiful smell?" His voice boomed through the house.

"Waffles Luke." I said smiling.

"Did you say waffles?" He peered around the corner.

"I didn't stutter, did I?"

"It's too early for sass missy." He said putting a hand on his hip.

"Whatever you say. Here's yours." I handed his plate and he slipped out a casual thank you.

I made him talk to me about his band and more about his family since I was pretty curious. He said that his band contains of 3 other people and he's the lead singer. He also told me that he was an uncle, which I thought was super cute. We finished up breakfast when he got a phone call.

"Yeah. I gotta go or the guys are gonna kill me." He pronounced.

"Alright. Hang out soon?"

"Most definitely." He gave me a small hug and was out the door. I started washing the dishes when there was a knock on the door. Luke again was standing there.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Gotta use the bathroom." He put his phone down on the table and went. After he did his business, he left once again.

Audrey said that she would be here in couple of minutes to "take me out shopping". The thing is, I don't enjoy shopping. It's just not my forte. I find it extremely exhausting. But on the other hand, Audrey feels as if you have to shop for everything and everywhere you go.

The door bell rang and went to answer it.

"Hey." I said. She waved and walked in.

"Wait a second." She said turning around.

"It smells good in here." She sniffed.

I took a sniff too and it actually did smell good. It smelt like Luke. That explains.

I nervously laugh. "Aren't we supposed to get shopping?"

"Oooo. Someone's anxious. I guess we can go." I grabbed my things and we were headed out when a unfamiliar ringing sounded. I looked to the table and saw that Luke left his phone.

"Who's is that?" Audrey asked.

"Mine. It's mine." I said quickly.

"How? You're phone is in your hand." I looked down at my phone and indeed it was there.

"Yeah, um did I ever tell you that I have two phones? One for work and another for family and friends." I said forming my lips into a smile.

"Cut the crap. Who's phone is that?" She said blankly.

"Luke. He left his phone." I sighed. She didn't say anything after.

"He was just over to hang out. And to help me babysit." I said opening up the car door. We were heading to Luke's house to give him his phone. His phone didn't have a password and I found his address in it. I backed out of the driveway and headed there.

We have some arguments about which way to go and major detours, but we finally made it.

It was a slightly large house painted in a sandy color. The drapes were closed by the windows and I could see 2 other cars parked in front.

Audrey stayed inside the car while I would drop off his phone. I stepped outside and I could hear the band playing inside.

'Don't waste your time on me you're already the voice inside my head.'

Someone sang. They were playing 'I Miss You' by Blink-182. That guy had such a melodic voice. It seemed so soothing.

I rung the doorbell and waited patiently for the door to be answered. After a couple of minutes and of ringing, the door finally opened to reveal a fire red colored hair boy standing there.

"Hilary!" He smiled.

"Hey! It's Michael right?" So sad how he remembers you're name but you can't remember his. Fantastic.

"Yep. But you can just call me Mikey." I nodded my head.

"So what brings you here?" He asked adjusting the guitar strap that was around him.

"Um Luke left his phone at my place." I said handing him the phone. He had a small smirk on his face making me raise my eyebrows.

"And what was he doing over at your house?"

"Uhh.. I-I mean noth-"

"Mike, what's taking you so long?" Luke said peering around the corner. He looked up out the door way and smiled at me.

"Hey Hil." He smiled that gorgeous smile of his. I couldn't help but smile back.

"I came to drop off you're phone. You left it."

"Thanks, I've been looking for it everywhere." He snatched it out of Mikey's hand and gave him a stare.

"Hilary! What's taking you so long?!" Audrey complained coming out of the car.

"Just wait in the car!" I said but it was too late. She walked up next to me and saw Michael and Luke.

I took a big sigh and thought to introduce her to them.

"Aud. This is Michael and Luke. Guys, this is my best friend Audrey." They all exchanged hellos.

"Wait. You're Luke right? As in Hemmings?" Audrey asked.

"Yes... Kinda strange that you know that." Luke admitted.

"Mhm Hil. He's pretty cute, nice choice." She whispered loud enough for only me to hear. I elbowed her in her side making her 'ow' and leaving the boys in confusion.

"Well maybe we should get going." I said.

"Wait is that bass?" Audrey said listening to the bass sounds. Luke nodded and she walked in without any permission.

"I'm so sorry. She can get excited at times." I apologized. We both followed them to the garage where we found a blonde haired boy sitting behind a drum set. The other black haired boy held a bass.

"Ladies, this is Ashton and Calum. And together we make up 5 Seconds Of Summer." Luke explained.

"Whoa dude. I didn't know we could bring hot chicks to practice." Calum said.

"Um excuse you but these hot chicks have boyfriends." Audrey snapped placing a hand on her hip.

"Oh salty. I like it." He winked and she rolled her eyes.

"Would you guys like to stay and watch us practice?" Mikey asked.

I looked to Audrey who nodded her head.

"We would love to." I smiled.

"You guys are amazing." Audrey complemented.

"Thanks babe." Calum said making her pretend to throw up. He chuckled and put his bass in the stand.

"We'll be right back." Ashton said and all of them exited leaving Aud and I alone.

"So I see that you're playing hard to get." I smirked.

"No I'm not. He's so annoying." She rolled her eyes." And plus, I have my own man so I don't need someone else."

"Okay then."

"We're back." Mikey said with boxes of pizza in his hands. I could feel my eyes lit up.

"Oh yummy." I giggled.

We each took a slice and I sat down next to Luke. Cal sat next to Audrey and she tried to scoot as far away as she could.

"So how do you feel?" Luke asked taking a bite out of his pizza.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You know how do you feel today? Are you feeling happy?" He asked raising his eyebrows.

"Of course I got to see you play." I smiled.

"That's so sweet. Especially coming from you." He smirked. I felt a smile on my lips and I looked down.

"So then my brother Jack thought it was funny to go ahead and tell her that I liked her.." Luke was telling me a story about how his brother told his crush he liked her. I loved when he told me stories.

"So what'd she say?"

"Well-" My phone started to ring. It was Zachary. He hasn't called me since last week.

"I gotta take this hold on." He understood and let me walk out the garage and into the living room. I opened the glass door where the backyard was and picked up the call.

"Hey Hilary." He greeted all kind like.

I was kinda disappointed that he didn't call me sooner.

"Hi..." I dipped.

"Are you okay? Why do you sound so sad hun?"

"Why didn't you call me sooner?"

"I'm so sorry but I've been so busy with my mom. Trust me I'm not doing anything wrong."

"Oh I know baby. I would never assume that because your not like that anymore. You've changed."

"Damn. What did I ever do to deserve you?" I smiled and bit my lip.

"I miss you." I truthfully stated.

"I miss you too sweetheart. But I have some news." He didn't sound so happy.

"What's wrong?"

"Well my mom didn't get better but she's getting worse. I think I need to stay a month more."

"Oh." Was all I can say. It's barely been a month and now he's staying a month more?

"Yeah I'm so sorry Hilary. But if you don't want me to I ca-"

"No! Stay. She needs your help. Like I said before, don't worry about me."

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"I love you so much."

"I love you too. Talk to you later."

"Bye babe." And the call ended.

I sighed and looked around. There was huge tree with a tree house in it. I remembered when my dad, sister and I built our very first tree house. That was when everything was perfect.

I don't know how, but I found myself climbing the stairs into the treehouse. I opened the latch and climbed in. There was four bean bag chairs with a acoustic guitar on the wall. There was younger photos of them on a table in the corner under the window drapes. I moved the drapes aside and saw the sunset resting on top of the neighborhood. It was a beautiful sight to see.

"Who knew the boys can be so sentimental?" I mumbled to myself.

I looked to the guitar and took it off of the stand. I haven't felt one in forever. I started picking at the strings and let my fingers flow. I played the chorus of Check Yes Juliet and hummed the words.

"Wow, you're amazing." I jumped and almost fell.

"Oh! Are you okay?" Luke chuckled.

"Yeah I'm fine you just scared me." I smiled.

"It's fine."

"I didn't know you could play." He said sticking his hands into his front pockets.

"I do but I'm not that good, trust me."

"Are you sure? You sounded great just then." He said raising his eyebrows.

"Just haven't held one in a while." I sighed.

"Well why don't you take that one home?" He suggested.

"Like to keep it?" He nodded.

"I don't think I'll be able t-"

"Just take it. I have two more in my room." He laughed.

"Thanks Luke."

Luke's POV

"Was everything okay?" I asked sitting in a bean bag chair.

"Yeah it was just Zach calling me. Told me that he has to stay for one more month." She looked down to her fingers.

A month more? What the heck was he doing? He's starting to piss me off.

"I miss him so much. I don't know if I can handle this anymore. We've finally fix our relationship and now I feel like it's breaking apart again. Like what if he doesn't get that love and affection and he's back to his old ways? I just want him home Luke." She looked to me with tears and her eyes and all I could do was wrap her in my arms. She wrapped her arms around me and sniffled.

We released and I lifted her head.

"Trust me. It'll be better." I whispered. She rested her head on my chest and closed her eyes.

This is how it was supposed to be. In my arms with her head on my chest. She wasn't supposed to be worrying and troubling herself over a guy that doesn't care for her. But as for me, I have to get her mind focused on something else.

Like Ashton said, maybe I can save her from all of this.
