The wind and rain battering the window woke Jeff up standing naked he went to the bathroom to relieve himself before having a shower and dressing.

Jennifer Marsh turned on her back and asked what time it was?

“Its five thirty in the morning Jenny.”

“That’s the middle of the night come back to bed.”

I have to radio the station, they will be up now, and I need to find out if the weather is any better there.

“Look out side it’s pouring out there; we couldn’t fly in that.

Jeff went down stairs and put on the coffee percolator then got on the radio Jimmy picked up the receiver and Jeff asked if the weather was any better there.

“No Jeff mate blizzard conditions here the forecast is good for tomorrow either Jeff; over.”

“Are you enjoying yourself out there?

“Well it’s chucking it down here Jim; I don’t know what we are doing today, over.”

“Looks like another couple of days in this cabin.

“Do you have enough supplies? Over.”

“Yes Jeff, but you could bring us some envelopes and writing paper mate; I’m running low.”

“No problem Jim I will get them for you; take care see you soon, over and out.”

Jenny came down and asked if everything was okay?

“Yes Jenny love; I’ve always been an early riser with training each day.”

“I will make you breakfast ham and eggs alright?

“Yes of course I thought we could call in and see my parents today. I usually have dinner with them on Sunday.”

“As long as I don’t get interrogated; I will be fine he laughed.”

“Jenny came over and kissed him. “ Don’t worry sweetie; they are not going to spoil this between us.”

Jenny took out a bowl and cracked six eggs into it. She then turned on an electric whisk; then grilled two big thick pieces of gammon.

Jenny popped six slices in the toaster as Jeff set the table for them and poured out the coffee.

After they had eaten Jenny got herself ready; she popped on her green parker with a fur lined hood before they went out to the station wagon.

“I know where I can take you said Jenny.”

“Where?

“Have you seen the Botanical Gardens here?

“Yes it’s not far from here; it’s on Glenmore Street.
