The Monday morning that Patricia returned Eliza and Patricia went for lunch where they both had a catch up. She told her about the letters that Jimmy had sent her and how she missed him terribly.

Four months will soon pass and he will be with us again Eliza. Would you and Michael like to come to my house for dinner this weekend?

“Why that would be lovely but shouldn’t you ask your parents first?

“Alright but I don’t think they will refuse. “You have done a brilliant job here Eliza whilst I have been away; I will be recommending you for a post here at this hospital as a fully qualified physiotherapist. Even if you do not get a position her then there are other hospitals who would gladly take you but leave it with me.

“That evening she told her father what Patricia Connors had said?

“I would like to meet these people said her father.

“That is good because I have invited them both for dinner this weekend if that is alright with you daddy?

“Yes daughter that would be good.”

“Can I ring her then daddy?

“Yes; and say Saturday evening. I am going to the Colonial House on Sunday evening.”

Eliza immediately picked up the phone and dialled the Connors house where Patricia answered.

“Hello Mrs Connors its Eliza; I have asked my Parents and they say it is alright for you both to come this Saturday at say six o’clock.

“Can we make it six thirty because Michael doesn’t get in until about quarter past five on a Saturday?

“That would be fine; thank you see you tomorrow bye.”

“There it is done daddy they are coming on Saturday as you suggested at six thirty because her husband does not get in from the hospital until quarter past five.

“That is fine it will give your mother more time to prepare.

“I will help mamma daddy.”

“Good I would expect nothing less.”

“Can I go to my room daddy I have to write a letter?

“Yes daughter and there is another letter that came this morning for you.”

Eliza took the letter then went to her room and lay on the bed she used the letter opener the letter had number six on the front. It began; Dear Eliza the storms have arrived again and we are stuck in the cabin with little to do so I thought I would write you a few lines. When I am not thinking about you I am writing to you. You rule my every thought. Thank you for your photograph. I am sitting here at my desk where I have framed the photo and looking at you as I write. I have enclosed the photo that you asked for I hope you like it.
