Cassie POV

I see my sister, Layla, gazing at the full moon. The light shines through the open window, a soft breeze blowing my stray strands back as I pull my hair into a messy ponytail. I watch my sister grab a black duffel bag, mindlessly throwing clothing and accessories into the bag.

I, on the other hand, decide to choose what clothing I should bring, and what I shouldn't.

I decide on bringing 5 oversized sweatshirts, 3 pairs of undies and sweats, and 2 sports bras.

I hear pebbles being thrown through through the window, a slight whisper being carried through the wind. I walk towards the window and see our best guy friend, and his girlfriend, Allen and Lily.

"Hey guys! Getting ready? I fixed your bikes and charged them up for you! Wanna let us in?" Allen called up. I nodded and gestures for Layla to come over. We had a telepathic conversation with our minds.

(L-Layla, c-Cassie)

L- who are you gonna choose?

C-I'll choose Lily if you want?

L-ok I'll get Allen.

I nod at Layla and focus my energy and mind on Lily. She lifts slowly off the ground. I smile and focus on my energy and heart rate and breathing. Still concentrating on keeping Lily afloat in the air, I grab her hands and pull her into the small attic room, being careful as to not hurt her from my tugging.

I bring her over to the bed and teleport downstairs to the kitchen. I use my telekinesis to open the fridge door and grab a water. Closing the door silently, I teleported back and see Allen sitting next to Lily, kissing her passionately.

Layla and I clear our throats at the same time, and giggle when we see Lily and Allen with faces as red as a fire engine. I throw the water bottle towards Allen, but Lily caught it easily.

"Huh, guess growing up with two baseball playing older brothers really pays off." Layla said as Lily just shrugs her shoulders, guzzling down the water bottle, giving the other half to Allen. He gladly takes it as I walk over to my bed.

"Are we going to leave a note Telling mom where we went or are we just going to let her find out in the morning like when dad left?" I ask Layla as I gently place a small stuffed piglet into my bag, covering it with an old pillow.

"I don't know. She kind of deserves us leaving without notice because of what she did to us when we were 10 to 14." Layla replied.

She was right. Earlier, when our father left us because he had an affair with his boss for extra money and found he loved her instead of us, he left us without notice. Up until we were 14 years old, when my mother was threatened to a life sentence in jail for child abuse both verbally, mentally, and physically, she stopped blaming us for our dads's departure. She came home drunk and high one night, claiming that she lost her job. She started beating me and then Layla. She tried to kill us on our 14th birthday, but our neighbors heard the gun shot because my mother missed our heads by a centimeter. It scared the hell for me. She managed to stab me in the side before the police came. But then realizing she was drunk, they let her off with a warning.

Getting out of my head, and my horrid daydreams, I continue packing, and see my sister and my two best friends talking and laughing till their clutching their stomachs. I smile and start rechecking, making sure everything i have is what I want to bring. I grab a hairbrush and a few hair elastics. I smile and sit on my bed.

I turn on the television, keeping it to a low volume as I watch my favorite movie, Ratatouille. I giggle softly, as I hear Layla's voice echoing in my head. "You ready to leave. We're leaving in 5" I look at her to see her glancing at me every now and then. I nod a yes when I know she's looking at me and she slightly nods back, then laughs at something Allen said.

Their laughter rang throughout the room and I smile sadly to myself, upset that I might never see them again.

I get up, switching the television off, and I grab my duffel bag and another small one with a pillow and sleeping bag. I quickly shove that bag into the bag, zipping it up and throwing it over my shoulder. We hug and bid our goodbyes before jumping out the window.

And with one look at our home, we vanish Into thin air.
