In That Moment, We Were Infinite (Book 5)

Family stays together until the end. No matter how close the end is, you have to stay together. Now maybe I'm not the perfect person to say this, but to lose them before you even got a chance with them is tragic. Trust me, that I do know. But I swear, in our last moments, we were infinite. And I would never give that up. Not for anything.

Athena's POV

"FRED! FRED FRED FREDDIE FRED!" I yelled up the stairs.

"What the hell do you want?" He asked, walking down to meet me with a disgruntled look on his face.

"You watch your tone with me buddy," I said and smacked him on the back of the head lightly. "I just wanted to say I love you but you're being an arse."

"Oh you know I love you," he said and kissed me.

"Mhm, Tonks invited us over for dinner."

"Aren't you and Remus not on good terms?" He asked.

"Whatever, he's my godfather and he loves me. If he isn't over it by now, he can go fuck himself." I shrugged.

"Right then," he laughed.

"Come on, I want to help with dinner and shit, so we better go. I also need to show them something." I smiled and grabbed the bag my dress was in.

Remus's house was full of tension as to what I said to him the other day. It was heat of the moment, but I don't take back what I said. "Remus," I said and walked up behind him.

"What?" He said and I flinched.

"I want to talk to you... Alone."

"Fine," he muttered and we walked to my old bedroom. The walks were painted black and there were lots of muggle band posters. Mostly Nirvana, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. I had the Gryffindor colours painted on one of the walls and a well detailed painting of a lion. I had song lyrics everywhere and I even had fairy lights hanging from the ceiling.

"Listen, I'm sorry about what I said, but Remus, I know you love her, and I don't know why you're doing this to yourself! I want you to be as happy as you can, and I know that if you keep saying things like that, you'll be miserable. You've always been there for me, and now it's my turn to look out for you. She loves you, and she's pregnant with your kid. Instead of regretting your decision, be happy for once." I said and he stared at me.

"Athena, I can't do when I know I've ruined her life, and the child's."

"Stop, Remus. You haven't ruined anything. Tonks loves you, and I see the way she looks at you. It's the way that I look at Fred, or, or Molly looks at Arthur, or James looked at Lily. You can't keep denying her love for you. She was willing to marry you and risk the opportunities because she loved you!"

He was speechless. He either was getting sick of talking to me, or he didn't have anything to argue with. "I'm sick of you being upset with me, but you needed to hear it. As much as you didn't want to. I love you so damn much. You're practically my dad and I want you to be happy. Please listen to me when I say that you deserve her," I said and placed a hand on his arm. I sighed when he didn't answer and hugged him tightly.

"I love you, Athena." He said and kissed my head. I smiled and relaxed a little.

"Hey, can you get Tonks, I have something I need to show you." I said and he nodded. "Great," I smiled as he left the room. I took the dress out of the bag and undressed as quickly as I could. I was careful putting the dress on considering how easily the diamonds can fall off and looked at myself in the mirror. I grinned and blinked away the tear begging to escape. I was actually getting married.

A knock on the door caused me to jump and I walked over and peeked my head out. "Fred isn't anywhere in sight?" I asked Tonks and she shook her head. "Okay come in," I smiled and opened the door.

Remus closed it behind him and looked at me. His jaw dropped and he had to keep hold of the door knob to keep him from falling. "Merlin, Athena." He whispered and walked over to me. "You... You're gorgeous." He said and admired the dress. "How much did you pay for that?"

"I think it was like two thousand dollars in muggle money or something," I shrugged. I looked at Tonks and she had the biggest smile on her face.

"You look amazing! Fred is surely going to cry," she laughed.

"Yeah, if he doesn't after all the work I've put into this, I'll softly kick him in the shins until he does." I muttered. "Anyway, we were at the dress shop for like four hours. It was me, Eli, Ginny and Fleur and some bitch Eli is dating, right? Okay, so whatever her name is, I think it was Anastasia, was making stupid comments the whole time and at one point Fleur totally tells her off in French and no one but her and I knew what she said and it was perfect." I laughed.

"Eli is dating someone?"

"Well, maybe. I don't know if they're still together. She said I looked fat in my dress and she flipped out-we all did, and she apparated. Eli left not long after that." I shrugged.

"She called you fat?" Remus asked incredulously.

"Yeah, it's whatever, really." I shrugged.

"Uh-uh, no. After your issues, that is not okay. You know you do not look fat in that, right?"

He asked and I nodded.

"I do,"

"Good. You look amazing, and don't let some bitch tell you otherwise."

"Damn, you get feisty for a canine." I laughed and he rolled his eyes.

"I get feisty when someone insults my god daughter." He said sassily and I smiled.

"I'm always feisty," I shrugged.

"Wait, so what did that Anastasia girl look like?"

"Tall, taller than me, at least."

"That isn't hard," Remus muttered and I hit his arm.

"Blonde, wears too much makeup and has dark, almost black eyes. Perfect teeth. Pretty. Prettier than me." I paused, starting to get worked up.

"I don't think she's prettier than you." Tonks said, scrunching her nose.

"How would you know?" I asked.

"Because, Eli just showed up with a girl that fits that description," Remus said sheepishly.
