Valuing Your Virtues (Book 4)

One thing you'll learn in life is to value your virtues. Even though it may be hard to do. After losing something so great, it might not be easy to get back on track, but it starts to become easier after you accept yourself for what you have, instead of what you've lost. After losing my father, it wasn't a happy time, but I'm here. I'm still alive, and I'm still fighting. Me, Athena Black, has realized something grand. That is to not give up until you've realized what you've got.

Athena's POV

"Little Athena is all grown up," Harry grinned and I sighed.

"If that's what you'd even call it. I still feel like a five year old."

"Well, you still act like a five year old so it's cool." Fred smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You two are adorable! It almost makes me want to throw up!" George spoke up, and I honestly didn't even know he was here.

"Georgie!" I exclaim and tackle him in a hug.

"Woah, calm down there. I know it's been a whole week, but you don't need to murder me," he said but looked regretful of his choice of words. "Athena I didn't-"

"I know, it's okay." I smiled but Fred seemed to be staring at him with a certain anger that I didn't understand. Was he upset he mentioned murder? Because he shouldn't have been, I'm fine.

"So, are you two planning anything yet?" Arthur asked us and I shrugged.

"Not really, just the small things. Not anything huge yet," I smiled.

"A date?"

"Well, we were hoping sometime next year, so we have the rest of this one to plan." I explained.

"Oh that's amazing! I can't wait," Molly exclaimed and I laughed.

"Yeah, I can't either."

Not long after that, we decided to go home and spend our first night alone in our finished flat.

"Don't you think it's amazing we finally have this place all to ourselves? We don't have anyone here to bother us anymore, we can do whatever we want," he grinned and kissed me a but roughly, to be honest. But I didn't care.

"If I'm correct, Mr. Weasley, I think that you're suggesting you'd like to do something that your mother wouldn't approve of," I laughed.

"Well you wouldn't be totally wrong, Ms. Black." He smiled.

"Well, I'll beat you to the bedroom," I said and ran towards the door at the end of the corridor.

I woke up the next morning with my limbs tangled in the sheets. I turned over to see Fred wasn't next to me and I wondered where he was. I was a little sad we couldn't stay in bed together all day, but I got up anyway. I stood up and I was about to walk out of the bedroom before it hit me that I wasn't wearing any clothes. I would've been okay with it, but this building has a lot of widows.

I found Fred's shirt on the floor and I quickly pulled it over my head and it barely went past my butt. It was good enough. I skipped, yes skipped, out into the kitchen and I saw Fred cooking something. I didn't know what it was but I went up and hugged him from behind and rested my chin in his shoulder. He wasn't wearing a shirt and really, this just felt like a dream. How many love story's have you read or known that have a part in it like this?

"Well good morning," he turned around and kissed me softly.

"Morning," I grinned. "Whatcha making?"

"Very good," I rolled my eyes and he laced his fingers in mine. "You can't really cook if you're too distracted by me." I said and he brought his face close enough to mine that our noses were touching.

"Oh well,"

"I need to pee." I announced and turned around, marching off to the bathroom and leaving him there. I did what I needed to do and then I stood and looked at myself in the mirror. I sighed and threw my hair up in a messy ponytail and brushed my teeth before returning to the kitchen.

By now I knew what he was making, it was obvious. Eggs and Bacon. "Hey Ginger," I called as I walked back to the kitchen.

"Do you want toast?" I asked.

"I guess, but I wanted to make you breakfast by myself." He pouted.

"Yeah but I wanna help," I smiled.

I grinned in triumph and made us each two pieces of toast and poured a glass of orange juice. "Fred, you better hurry up. You have to get to the Joke Shop in like a half an hour."

"Athena, I think that you fail to remember I am one of the owners, and I can show up when I like." He told me.

"Oh yeah, so your brother can get mad at you. Totally. Ten out of ten. Best idea ever." I laughed.

"Oh shut up," he said, placing my food in front of me.

"Thank you, my little ginger." I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"You're welcome... My not-so ginger."

"You're terrible." I laughed and we ate together, holding hands under the table.

Once we were finished and Fred ran to get ready to go to work, I pulled on a pair of jeans and one of his clean shirts. I prefer to wear his clothes over mine, if you hadn't noticed. I didn't bother with makeup because I knew I would be coming right back here once I bothered them enough to make them angry, though I usually annoy George more than Fred.

"Fred, hurry the hell up or you're gonna be late." I called out to him from the door.

"Yeah, I'm here come on. Let's go." He muttered, coming out of our bedroom and we walked out the door together.

"Oh George!" I called out. We get there about five unites before it opened and I hadn't seen George yet.

"What do you want Athena?" He says, walking out and seeing me standing beside friend.

"YOUR LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE!" I yelled and ran up to hug him.

"If I say that you've got it will you go away?"

"Then fine. You have my love and acceptance." He sighed.

"IN YOUR FACE FRED! I HAVE HIS LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE AND YOU DONT!" I laughed and kissed Fred quickly. "Okay, I'm leaving now. I have to go for training later. So bye." I smiled. If you're wondering, I did get a job as an Auror.

"Okay, bye. I love you and be careful." Fred said.

"Oh when am I not?"

"All the time, now goodbye." He laughed.

"Whatever. Bye." I called over my shoulder as I walked out the door of their very successful joke shop.
