Lean On Me - Sequel to Proud To Be

In Athena Black's sixth year, she faces so much more things since previous years. With her father an escaped convict of Azkaban, and her godfather a werewolf, it brings much more trouble than you'd think. So when things start to get rough, her long time best friend and boyfriend, Fred Weasley, is more than willing to be there, so she can lean on him if in need.

Athena's POV

So, Voldemort was back. The ministry, of course, wouldn't allow the people to know. They were trying to pretend that everything was okay, and Cedric's death was a 'tragic accident'. It was, in other words, bullshit.

I returned to my shared home with Remus, only to find him packing up things and seemingly ready to leave.

"Oh, Athena! How did you get home?" He asked me.

"Walked." I shrugged. "Anyway, what are you doing?"

"Oh. Your father, were staying with him this summer. My face lit up at his words.

"Well... With you-know-who back, precautions must be taken, so-"

"The Order of The Phoenix." I said.

"Precisely. So were staying with your dad at Number 12 Grimmauld Place."

"His childhood home? Why would he return there?"

"Because nobody would suspect it. We're leaving now, so don't bother unpacking." He smiled.

"Apparition?" He nodded. "Do you have everything?" I asked him. After all, he was just a tad forgetful.

"Yes," he smiled.

"Then lets go. Wait... Who else is part of this?"

"Well, it's me, your father, Dumbledore, Mr and Mrs. Weasley, Snape, and a few others, too. Were keeping a close look over Harry and you cannot contact him this summer, but if you do, you can't give too much information. If the owl gets intercepted and the ministry finds out, were done."

I nodded but stared, waiting for him to mention another name.

"You're forgetting someone." I pointed out.

"What are you- Athena, no, you can't."

"Um, excuse me, I'm turning 17 this year. Technically I can."

"No, I'm your legal guardian and-"

"Technically, dad is. So it's up to him."

"I bet he'll say the same thing I am. You're too young and it's too dangerous."

"If she wants too, she can." Dad said, in a sort of final statement, giving a warning look to Remus.

"Told you," I smirked.

"Sirius! She's sixteen! That's not-"

"Age doesn't mean a thing, Remus. She's legal this year, so technically, she make her own decision."

"If needed, how will she even get place to place? What about school?"

"I can apparate now, smart one. Plus, this is my last year, so school won't be in the way for long." I smiled smugly at my godfather who was at a loss for words.

"I cannot believe you two."

"Why can't you? Surprised that I actually want to help? I'm not going to sit around and watch you work your asses off until one of you gets killed! I will not stand for that. I'm not losing you guys the same way Harry lost Lily and James. I just won't. If I do lose you, at least I'll know I did my part in trying to defeat Voldemort!" I cried.

"You won't. You're not losing us anytime soon." Dad hugged me.

"I better not. I wanna have a family by the end of this."

"You will. I promise." Remus said, giving in and joining in on the hug.
