Lean On Me - Sequel to Proud To Be

In Athena Black's sixth year, she faces so much more things since previous years. With her father an escaped convict of Azkaban, and her godfather a werewolf, it brings much more trouble than you'd think. So when things start to get rough, her long time best friend and boyfriend, Fred Weasley, is more than willing to be there, so she can lean on him if in need.

Athena's POV

'Its only the first day and Snape already makes me want to punch him in the face," I told Fred as I collapsed next to him on the couch in the common room.

"Don't punch your potions teacher. That wouldn't be good on you," he pointed out. I scoffed.

"I know, doesn't mean I don't want to." I told him, sighing.

"You know, I don't really get why you have up working with someone as amazing as I am to be an Auror." He told me.

"Yeah, don't get my hopes up. There's a good chance I won't become one, so keep that spot open for me." I said sadly.

"Athena, there's an insanely huge chance that you could become one, don't doubt yourself." He said, sternly. I let out a laugh and he looked at me, bewildered. "What?"

"D'you not realize who my father is? My godfather? It's never going to happen, Freddie." I said, glaring at the ground.

"They can't hold that against you!" He exclaimed.

"Oh you just watch them. Plus-"

"Little Athena become an Auror? I'd like to see that," someone teased from behind me. I was about to turn around and start telling off whoever said it, when I realized it was just Harry.

"Listen here you little arse," I smiled. "That was awfully rude." I told him. He shrugged.

"Oh well. You love me,"

"Hey that's my line!" Fred exclaimed, but I ignored him.

"On occasion, Potter."

"What did Remus have to say about you wanting to be an Auror?"

"He may not know yet," I smiled.

"You better tell him!" He said incredulously. I waved it off.

"It's Remus, I should make him wait another year." I stated, still

Angry for what he and my father had done this summer.

"Oh you can't stay mad at him forever!" Hermione chimed in. I jumped in surprise when she spoke, because I had no idea she was there.

"Watch me," I said, wanting to move on already.

"Whatever you say," Fred said, pulling me closer to him.

"I'm tired," I whined.

"You're always tired, Athena."

"How are we supposed to do anything else if you're always sleeping?"

"If that wasn't meant to sound suggestive, I don't know what the hell is." I laughed and he kissed me.

"You two are sickeningly adorable." Harry said, smiling.

"We try," I laughed and grabbed the hand that was attached to the arm around my shoulder.

"You also succeed," he told us. I shrugged.

"I'm glad I succeeded in something, I'm usually not good at things."

Fred scoffed. "Says the one who got and Outstanding on nearly all of her OWLs." He said and I ignored his comment.

"What were you two doing before you joined us, anyway?"

"Good question." Harry said, causing me to laugh.

"You have some serious problems."

"No, I have Harry problems, I don't have Sirius' problems, too."

"Fuck off, Harry." I rolled my eyes. "Did you get a letter back from him yet?" I asked.

"I don't... Think so," he answered after thinking for a minute.

"Glad we can count on you to know things," I joked and he rolled his eyes at me.

"I wouldn't be talking,"

"You can't use my own comebacks, Potter."

"I just did, Black."

"Would you two stop arguing?" Fred groaned from beside me.

"It isn't arguing, it's called playful banter. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to lay in your bed and annoy your brother." I corrected him and stood up, saying goodbye to the other two. I made my way up to the boys dormitories and found the familiar room that I'm so used to spending my time in. For someone who wasn't supposed to be up here, I spent a hell of a lot of time in them.

"GEORGIE OH HOW I MISSED YOU!" I exclaimed, collapsing on top of the other twin in his bed.

"Hey to you too," he laughed.

"Hey, hey George?" I asked, repositioning so it would be more comfortable for both of us.

"Yesss?" He answered.

"How do I get luscious locks like yours?" I laughed and ran my hand through his hair.

"Well I dunno, you have to be pretty damn awesome,"

I placed a hand over my heart. "And I'm not?"

"Not yet, Athena. Not yet."

"Don't be an ass." I pouted and he laughed.

"Oh hush up, you know I love you." He said, hugging me.

"Good. Now don't move. I'm going to sleep." I announced and smiled.

"Oh I see how it is," a humour filled voice rang from beside me as I woke from my nice little nap.

"What d'you want Fred?"

"As soon as you leave you go right to the other twin?" He joked.

"I'm just so much better than you." George said.

"Shhhh," I said reaching my arms up, telling Fred to pick my up through my actions. He rolled his eyes but did so anyway, making me immediately shiver from the cold.

"Come to bed with me." I ordered, kissing him on the neck lightly.

"If that's what you want, princess." He said and laid down with me.

"It is, but you have to shut up so I can actually fall asleep, Freddie."

"But where's the fun in that?" He asked, running his fingers through my hair.

"The fun; me getting to sleep so I won't have such a hard time waking up tomorrow morning." I told him, hugging him closer. "Now be a good little teddy-bear and shush up," I said.

"At least give me a kiss goodnight," he reasoned.

"No. Too tired." I said, a smile hinting at my lips.

"Oh fine," I said, leaning up and placing my lips on his own. "Happy?" I asked, returning to how I was before.

"Very," he told me, kissing the top of my head gently. "One more thing, though." He said and I groaned.

"What could it possibly be this time, Weasley?"

"I love you." He said softly and I grinned in my extremely sleepy state.

"I love you too, ginger." I laughed and finally settled back down and allowed myself to fall back to sleep.
