Athena's POV

I woke up unusually early the next day and found the will power to drag myself out of Fred's extremely warm and comfortable bed. I walked to the kitchen only to see Mrs. Weasley in a state of panic, making her way around the place, cleaning. Probably trying to keep her mind off of whatever was bothering her.

"Um... Molly?" I asked in a quiet voice, not expecting her to hear me. But apparently she did, and jumped in surprise.

"Oh... It's you. Sleep well, dear?" She asked, but she seemed like her head was somewhere else.

"Yes... but is something bothering you?" I asked, worried.

"I... Someone summoned the dark mark last night at The World Cup," she said. My eyes widened and I opened my mouth to say something, but couldn't find the right words to say.

"You... You're serious?" I asked and she could only nod. "When are they supposed to get back?" I asked, swallowing hard, trying to calm down.

"Sometime within the hour, they said. If the game was finished, but with what happened last night, everyone would probably be returning home by now." She said. I nodded, taking everything in.

"So you don't if.. They're okay?" I asked softly. She shook her head again, and this time, looked as though she would cry. I sat down, not saying anything else. I didn't feel like I had the right to worry like she did, so I kept it to myself.

After what seemed like years, there was a slight commotion outside and Mrs. Weasley and I both jumped up to see what it was. I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders when I saw 7 redheads and two others, following the one and only Arthur Weasley. Mrs Weasley ran out first, yelling something I wasn't paying attention to, and I ran straight to Fred and hugging him tighter than I ever had.

"Don't scare me like that again you arse," I said, kissing him. He smiled.

"Trust me, next time I go anywhere, you're coming with me," I laughed and led go, walking over to Harry, Hermione and Ron.

"Listen here you little shits," I said sternly, but I finally broke out into a smile. "Give me a hug," I said, opening my arms. They smiled and each hugged me, probably feeling relieved that they weren't going to get lectured. "You guys realize you're going to be telling me exactly what happened, right?" I asked. They nodded. "Good. I'll be up in Fred and George's room, come and get me when you want." I told them. They each had a different response, all saying yes.

I returned to Fred's side and grabbed his hand. "So, other than the whole 'Dark Mark' fiasco, how was it?" I asked him with a smile.

"It was great, it would've been better if you'd have been with us." He tells me. I laughed and kissed him, rolling my eyes.

"You survived." I said, laying down on his bed once we got in his shared room.

"Barely," he said, picking me up and laying down, placing me on top of him.

"Mhm, sure." I said, kissing him again.

"It's true!" He exclaimed with a cute little smile.

"I love you," I said. "You don't even have to say anything back. I just really love you and I want you to know that." I said softly, laying my head on his chest. "You really did scare me, how were we to know that you were all alright." I told him

"Well I'm here now, and I'm okay." He said, smiling.

"That's not the point, though. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you without even saying a proper goodbye. It's... Impossible to imagine." I told him.

"But I'm here now, and living in the moment is more important than dwelling on about your future," he told me.

I smiled an involuntary smile. "When did you grow up?"

"It's not growing up, it's realizing that if I didn't mature I could lose the thing that means the most to me." He told me.

A blush appeared on my cheeks, causing me to his my face in his neck. He laughed and ran a hand through my hair which has only gotten so much longer since the start of summer. A scoff could be heard from the other side of the room, which made me smile.

"No need to engage in such blatant PDA in your SHARED bedroom," George said to us.

"Oh you're just jealous, you git." I teased.

"You wish," he smiled when a knock sounded from the door.

"That's probably Harry," I told them, getting up. I opened the door and saw exactly who I'd thought it was.

"Ready?" I asked and he nodded. He lead me to Ron's bedroom where he and Hermione were already sitting. I was offered a seat on the bed which I took gratefully and have my fully attention to them. "Don't be afraid to tell me anything, I want to know it all." I told them and they began there long tale of what had happened at the Quidditch World Cup.

When they finished and furrowed my eyebrows. "So... Winky did it?" I asked.

"That's what they think, but I doubt it was her." Hermione corrected. I nodded, taking in everything they had just told me.

"That does seem quite odd. Is there anything else you could think of that might've happened? Something you didn't mention?" I asked them, trying to piece things together. They only shook their heads.

"Well, it isn't about the World Cup, but I think you might know how to help," Harry told me.

"I'm all ears, boy." I said.

"Well... Before I came, my scar.. it would start to hurt at the oddest times." He told me. I stared at him, racking my brain for an answer that might suffice.

"When?" I asked him.

"Once, when I woke from a dream." He said and I have him a look, edging him on. "It was about... Voldemort," he said and I saw Ron wince.

"Do you remember exactly what happened?"

"Well... Peter was there... And this snake..." He said. I nodded.

"It doesn't mean that he's close, does it? Because with Quirrel-" Hermione said.

"I'm sure he wasn't in Privet Drive. He isn't an idiot. He's not near as strong as he'd need to be - or wants to be. Harry, I'm going to think about this and tell you when I have a logical answer. Until then, be careful." I said, hugging him. "I don't want to lose you." I said quietly, more to myself. He might've heard me, though.

"Alright. Thank you, Athena." He said. I nodded, standing up.

"Get some sleep, you three. You look like you need it." I tell them, walking out and making my way back to Fred and George's room.
