Penelope Jackson: Daughter of the Sea- The Amulet of the Moon

In this second Penelope Jackson story, Penelope and her friends must travel to Athens to complete the prophecy that will unite the Gods with their Demi-god children. But a vengeful goddess threatens to destroy Penelope, her family and friends, as they travel. And during a separation Penelope picks up a strange stone that later reveals its true nature as the group of Demi-gods stumble upon a secret civilization.

6. Konnor-All Aboard the Argo Three

At the crack of dawn I was awake packed and picking out my room when someone climbed aboard.

"Hello?" called the person.

"Who's there?"

"It's Troy, but if you're an enemy its Augustus!" Troy answered.

I stepped out into the hall to see the tall Roman, in all honesty the kid looked just like Reyna, minus the intimidating part. Troy was a nice guy and seemed friendly enough, nicer than Adam for sure.

"Welcome aboard the Argo Three." I said offering my hand.

"Thanks, nice to meet you K-Konnor, right?" he said taking my hand and giving a firm shake.

"Sorry I'm horrible with names, but Penelope has told me so much about you."

"Oh, cool then."

Cue the awkward silence.

"Well pick a room any room, mines the one with the mess hall, reminds me of home." I said.

"Oh Dionysus, right?"

More awkward silence.

"Well let me know if you need anything." I said leaving Troy to move his things into his room. He ended up choosing the room across from mine.

Brynna was next and scoped out her room, which ended up being down the hall.

The Grace's came next and got the biggest room, for obvious reasons, and along came Adam who chose the room farthest from his family which happened to be right next to mine. Awesome. Alec came aboard as the boat maintenance guy, so if anything went wrong he could fix it. By nine we were finally ready to leave, Athena and Fred had come to see us off, along with Marcie who had just been released from bed rest, but she was making frequent visits to the infirmary. After we said parting words we opened the map on the dining table and then instructed Alec to set the boat up for Airways. Since children of Zeus were aboard it was going to be safer and quicker to get to Greece; since no child of Poseidon was aboard...unfortunately.

"T-minus five minutes until we're up in the air!" Alec called from the engine room.

"Thanks Alec!" I called. "Everyone brace your self, secure your belongings everyone stay inside no one goes out until we are up in the air."

"You got it Konnor," Brynna said as she went to her room. Everyone dispersed to their rooms and I sat there in the dining hall.

"One minute!" Alec shouted.

I slowly started counting down the seconds, looking up I saw the walls were painted to look like the grounds at Camp Half-blood. I saw Penelope's cabin and the dock, the last place we'd seen her.

"What were you doing out there Pen?" I asked the wall.

"Five seconds!" Alec called.

"We're going to find you Penelope that's a promise." I whispered.

And then we were in the air.
