The Meaning Of

During a discussion about the meaning of life with my friend, we somehow began writing this story. I would write an installment, and then she would, completely making it up as we went. This is the result. Basically, for 70 some years, my friend searches for the grand question and answer to the meaning of life. Finally, after all that time, we come in contact again.

Then I questioned whether I lived my life to the fullest? Maybe what she meant by this open question was that everyone's meaning of life was completely different. She found the end of her question, but have I found mine? Could I stick any word in and would it actually describe the life I lived or describe the life I wanted to live? How could this one stupid open ended question create thousands upon thousands of other questions in my head. The world today was completely different than it was back then. Did I like the life I had lived? If not, and even though I was 92 years old, would I still have time to change it? Of course I would. Technology had come so far. I could do anything I want. Money was no issue since everything was run freely and by choice ever since government was taken over in 2064. Everyone was doing what they loved and were letting others join. All I needed to do was answer the questions: Was I happy with the way I lived my life? And if not, how could I change it so that I am?
