"Hello, 911. What's your emergency?"

"Hi, my name is Talia Brooks. I- I'm with my boyfriend. B-but I don't know where I am." I said breathing heavily into the phone.

"Stay calm, Ms. Brooks. Can you describe where you are for me?" said the woman over the phone.

"I-I'm not sure. I'm in a house but I don't know whose it is." I started to cry. "Please, just get me out of here."

"Don't worry," the woman said reassuringly. "I'm going to send out a search for you. I'm tracking your phone right now."

"Thank you." I whispered. "Please, hurry. I- I'm really scared."

"You're going to be okay, Ms. Brooks. Can you tell me why you're scared?"

"I was at my house. I was home alone. My- my boyfriend came over. We were going to watch a movie." I said, running my words together.

"Everything was fine." I continued. "B-But the last thing I remember was drinking something and then passing out. Then I woke up in this house a-and now I'm not sure what's happening."

The woman over the phone told me once again that everything would be fine. But how would she know? She isn't here. She can't see that my boyfriend is going to kill me.

I could hear his footsteps coming up the steps and down the hallway.

"I have to go." I said quickly into the phone. I couldn't let him hear me.

"Can you tell me one last thing before you go?"

"What?" I asked, quickly. I could feel my heart pounding.

"What is the name of your boyfriend?" the police officer asked.

"Luke." I said before hanging up. "Luke Robert Hemmings."

// 2 hours earlier //

"Hi, Luke." I smiled, opening my front door.

"How's my favorite girl?" Luke grinned, bending over to kiss me.

I blushed. Luke and I had been dating for about a year now, yet I still loved him just as much as I did when we first started dating.

I looked down and noticed that Luke had a bottle in his hands.

"What's this?" I asked, taking it from him.

"It- It's nothing." Luke said nervously.

"You haven't been drinking, have you?" I asked, looking into his deep blue eyes. Luke knows how much I hate it when he drinks. He always gets violent afterwords.

"No, I haven't been drinking, Talia." Luke said rolling his eyes and taking back the bottle. "And you're not my mom so don't tell me what to do."

I couldn't help but laugh a little to myself. Luke was such a mama's boy.

"So, what movie did you want to watch?" Luke asked.

"Well," I smiled. "I was thinking that we could watch a Pixar movie. I don't care which one. You can choose."

"Okay, sounds great." Luke grinned, sitting down on my couch.

We wound up watching Toy Story. Luke was going on about how he hadn't seen it in forever. I was glad to see him smiling while we watched the movie. Luke hasn't been his usual happy self, lately. He told me recently that his depression has gotten worse. I've tried to be there for him every step of the way, but it's hard. I hate seeing him like this.

We had just finished the movie when Luke got up and asked me if I was hungry.

"I'm good." I smiled. "But thank you."

"Are you sure?" Luke asked, looking straight into my eyes.

"I'm sure."

"Well, let me at least get you something to drink while I'm up." he grinned.

I sighed. "Alright, fine. Thank you, Luke."

I turned back to my tv and watched as the credits rolled down the screen. There were so many names on the list. I always thought that it would be cool to be one of those names. I've always wanted to become a director, but that would never happen. I can never find inspiration for anything.

My mom was always there for me. She wanted me to pursue my dreams of being a director. Ever since she passed away, it's been hard. The way that my mom died has always scared me. It absolutely terrifies me. She-

Luke walked back into the living room, interrupting my thoughts. "Here you go." He smiled, handing me a glass.

"Thanks." I said, reaching over to take the drink.

"Luke?" I asked him.

"Yes?" He asked.

"How are you doing, lately?" I said, looking over at him. "Have things gotten any better?"

"I don't want to talk about it, Talia." Luke said, looking down.

"That's fine. Just know that I'm here for you." I sighed. "You do know that I love you, right?" I asked, taking a sip of the drink.

"Yes." Luke said. "Yes, I know. That's why I'm sorry."

I was confused. "Sorry for what? What are you talking abou-"

I felt my body go numb as my eyelids closed. Everything was black.

Everything was cold.

Everything was quiet.

Luke looked over at my unconscious body. "Sorry for that."
