Crybaby Bridge

One night when Jaz and Jack are bored they decide to go out deep in the woods to crybaby bridge. They wanna see for themselves… and the myths true?

19. Chapter 19

Then I heard it.

A baby cry.

For the first time I was happy to hear the cry. Thank god.

Relief fell over me.

"Thank you God for bringing her back!" The man was hugging the baby, tears in his eyes.

He had a towel over his shoulder that he dried the baby with.

"Shhh… it's okay baby." Then he stopped and stared at the baby's face.

"Jazmyn?" He said

What?? The baby's name is Jazmyn?! And her mom's name is Allison?! What the hell is going on!?

I took a step back and the setting changed again.

I was at the top of the bridge again with the lady who threw Jazmyn over the edge.

"What is going on?!" I yelled at her.

"Hmm… that's why you are here. You don't remember." She was so calm, how the hell is she so calm!

"Remember what?!"

"This." What does she mean?

"No! This isn't a memory this all happened hundreds of years ago if the myths are true! It's not possible for this to be a memory!"

"Then tell me, what do you think really happened hundreds of years ago." She doesn't believe me!

"Fine I will! Hundreds of years ago this lady thought about nothing but herself, she was only concerned with keeping herself happy pretty much. She had a kid that she didn't really want but kept anyways. When times got hard to take care of themselves she didn't want to struggle with a baby, she was only concerned about having money for her and didn't want to think about having to provide for the child either so she just threw it over the edge of this bridge into the water. The guilt ended up haunting her and she regretted it so much that she jumped off the bridge."

"But how much of that is really true now that you've seen all of this." She had a point, but it was hard to think clearly. My mind was still a mess after everything I had just encountered.
