Chapter 8 - „Trying to stay sane is like a full time hobby”

„Wake up sweetie”. I somehow registered a whisper close to my ear. „Five more minutes please,” I whimpered before turning around and snuggling even deeper under my blanket. „Get up ma bitch,” the same voice repeated and pulled my blanket of me which meant I as relax jumped up and almost knocked Hailey to the ground. „Why are you waking me this early?” I groaned and pulled on a pair of sweats. „Why? Firstly it’s not early. It is almost 8 pm which means you’ve been napping. Secondly because I just got back from the most crazy Givenchy show ever, Shamari cooked dinner for us - and we are going out tonight”. And apparently I didn’t have a say in it.

„This is the best thing about living in Dalston,” Hailey stated as we quite intoxicated balanced down the street in our seven inch boots as Shamari stumbled somewhere behind us. I felt like I didn’t have a worry in the world and I hadn’t enjoyed a festive night like this in a long time. No obligations, no screaming people, and no press. I had never felt this free. This alive. I could feel the alcohol pump through my veins and tightened my arm around Hailey’s waist as I noticed how close she was to fall over. We were all too drunk - but none of us cared, not the slightest bit. We just lived for this moment.

„What is?” I asked after a while. I didn’t even detect how much time passed from she mentioned Dalston to I asked her what she meant. „This right here. Just the three of us having fun. It’s just… Well it’s the best thing ever baes,” she slurred and Shamari suddenly linked his arm with Hailey’s free one and joined in on the conversation. „I love you guys so much, and I can’t wait to see this place I heard it’s sick man,” he agreed. „Well I guess we will find out right away,” I stated before stopping right outside the club we decided on going to.

„It looks like it’s just a party taking place in a fucking basement!” Shamari hissed as he observed our chosen destination.  „Don’t be so judgmental - it might be fucking awesome inside even though it do seem quite of dark and hipster,” Hailey chuckled to herself. „Just check out that line - this place has to be amazing for that many people waiting outside a cold summer night when you think about how many pubs and clubs actually exist in this city,” I thought in a very clearheaded moment. I didn’t get an answer but my two friends just stayed in that exact spot and before they could change their minds I dragged them along.

We discreetly skipped the long line of extremely beautiful people and drunkenly slipped the doorman an unbelievable big amount of pounds to make sure no paps would be informed about our whereabouts or actions. „Miss Jenner, Miss Baldwin, Mister Maurice,” he nodded as he opened the door for us and we heard the jealous whispers behind our backs.

„How did you hear about this place again?” I asked them. They had practically begged me to go to this exact club. „Well, you know… Word gets around. We hear stuff. This place is supposed to be one of the best clubs in this entire country,” Shamari tried to avoid my question. „Badass, what was it called again?” I asked narrowing my eyes in the dark as we tried to step down the long row of stairs trying to walk down to the actual club and before anyone had time to answer me I noticed the two words written on the black wall with a silver marker: The Alibi.
