Claudia's POV

The past 2 and a half months were long and cold, colder than usual for Sydney.

Tomorrow we will be in a new month, and I was dreading the thought of winter.

Really, without Ashton, my life has been dull.

He hasn't left his girlfriend, Scarlett Jones, and he got fired from his movie store or where ever the hell it was he worked, so he got a job at KFC.

He hates it there, he complains about burning his hands, and the smell of raw chicken, but it really makes me laugh with the thought of Ashton in that red shirt and khakis opposed to his usual attire.

I sat on my bed with my maroon comforter wrapped around me like a cocoon. I was so cozy that I never moved for a whole half hour.

It was 8:30 AM and I was dreading the fact that I had to do my online schooling in a half hour when my dad wakes me up.

I was already up, so I get ready for the day. I put on grey sweatpants, and a red 'Antlers Lounge' shirt my dad got for me when I was still too little to fit it. I brushed my hair into a frizzy state, with my bleached highlights still peaking through from year 7, no matter how many times I dyed it to my natural color brown, bleach overpowered it, with purple streaks coming from the hair behind my ears. I hated being blonde so I would sneak out and dye my hair back to my original color, and I self-dyed the purple, much to my parents dismay.

I always wanted all my hair purple, but I feared that it would end up like crap.

I turned on the computer and began my work.
