2. I'm not scared of you.

I walk back to homeroom with Calum following behind me. We didn't talk. I didn't know what to say to him. We walked into class and told the teacher we had a new student. The minute Calum walked in, some guy stood up. I think his name is Luke? I'm not sure. He walked up to Calum and hugged him. "It's great to have you back man" Luke whispered in Calum's ear. I sat next to Michael in the back and the other seat next to me was empty so Calum sat next to me. The class went on. English was my favorite subject so I was really into the class. Before I knew it the bell was ringing. I picked up my binder and started to walk. I remembered Calum. I stopped at the door and looked back. I told Michael I would see him later. I let Calum and Luke talk but I think they noticed me wait so they said their good byes. Calum walked next me. Yet again , in silence. "So are you just not going to talk to me or?" I was shocked he asked me that. "I really don't know what to say to you?" I answered honestly. I heard a low chuckle come from Calum. Calum walked in front of me and turn to face me. He got closer and I slowly backed up until I hit the lockers. "Is somebody scared of me?" I laughed. "I'm not scared of you Calum." He got closer to me. "Are you sure?" Then I moved closer to him. "Positive." Then I walked away from. My heart beating fast. It's true. I wasn't scared of him. I turned to look at him and he was smirking. He started to walk again. We go to class.

I walked in to find a smiling Ashton. But that smile quickly faded away when he saw who I was with. I sat down while Calum introduced himself. I started to tell Ashton everything about Calum and I. "I don't know Brooke, I'm not to sure I like you two being together." I laughed and rolled my eyes. Ashton was always so protective over me. "Ash, I'm not scared of him." "Brooke, do you know what he did to his ex?" Ashton looked worried. "I'll be fine. Regardless of what he did." I smiled to reassure him everything was okay. The class dragged on. I never really liked chemistry, I'm good at it. I just don't like it.

The bell rang, Ashton decided to walk Calum and to class. "So, Calum how does it feel to be back?" Ashton asked breaking the silence between the three of us. Calum looked up at Ashton and staked quite. Like if he was thinking of what to respond. "School's never been my thing, but it's better than being in that hellhole." Calum took a deep breath before continuing. "I'm just trying to stay out of trouble now." Ashton and I nodded our heads agreeing with him. I noticed that he was much more calmer with guy than girls. With girls, he is more intimidating and flirty at the same time. I could tell by the way he carry himself. "Brooke!" Ashton yelled, breaking me from my thoughts about Calum. "Yeah?" "Don't you think it's a good idea?" How long was I not paying any attention to them? "What is?" "For Calum to rejoin the soccer team?" I smiled at the boys "yes! That sounds awesome." Ashton told Calum to meet him at the soccer field after school today. Ashton went his own way to class once we made it to ours class. We said our goodbye and walked.

The rest of the day went by pretty fast. Calum and I didn't really talk. We just walked next to each other quietly. It was now the end if the day, Calum and I were making our way down to the soccer field. I looked around for Ashton but I couldn't find him. "I guess we got here before Ash did." Calum nodded his head and took out a pack of cigarettes. He grabbed one and put it between his lips. He held out the pack to me so I can grab one. I shook my head no. "I only smoke weed." His eyes grew wide. "Really?" I nodded yes. "A smart, pretty girl like smokes weed? I would have never guessed." I was leaning again the gate by the bleachers. Calum got closer to me. "I guess that means you have a wild side too?" I decided to play his game back. "You don't even know the half of me." Calum smirked down at me. His big brown eyes met my green eyes. He backed up slowly. My heart started beating super fast. I smiled down at the floor. I felt butterflies. I don't know why. I just met him. In the middle of my thoughts I felt two arms wrapped around my arms. I looked up to find Michael and then Ashton behind him. I said hi to my two best friends. They left to go play a little bit of soccer with the whole team. Calum could play. He made four goals. Which each goal he made he would look at me and wink. In the middle of the game, Calum took off his shirt. I couldn't help but to stare. He was so fit. He jogged over to me. "Like what you see?" I smirked while checking him out. "Yeah you do." I was biting my lip now. He chuckled and went back to the game.

The boy's little game finally came to an end. Ashton gave Calum a jersey. All of the guys started cheering. He three guys walked up to me. "Ready to go Brooke?" Michael asked. "Yup, let's go." We didn't live far from school at all. Ashton, Michael and I all live on the same block. On our walk there, it turns out Calum lives in the house in front of me. I'm not sure how I didn't notice Calum before. When we got to my house we all said our goodbyes. I was about to walk in but I heard somebody call my name. I turned to see who was calling me. "Calum?" I raised an eyebrow. He made his way towards me. "Um, you know that math homework seems really hard. Maybe I could get your number so I could ask you for some help. I mean you seem to know it better than I do." I took his phone from him and put in my number. I gave him back his phone and said goodbye. He grabbed my wrist and kissed my cheek. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks. "I can already see I make you blush." Calum winked. "Bye Calum" I walked in my house. I was home alone till eight so I went straight for my room and laid on my bed. Trying to process everything that happen today.
