Fuck You, Luke

It wasn’t like Michael actually hated Luke. More like the opposite to be honest. Or at least most of him did. That little part inside of him, which had a tendency of peeking out, whenever Luke did something cute, something funny or even something stupid, didn’t feel exactly like he did. It wanted Luke oh so very badly, but Michael knew that, that could never happen. Hell. Michael knew that he could never have Luke in any way. They were bandmates, nothing more.

In which Michael has a demon inside him, that desires Luke more than good probably is.

4. Chapter 4

“Calum told me something, a couple of days ago-“ Michael started. He were lying on the bed, propped up on one elbow and looked down at Luke, who was on his back with his eyes closed. Michael held his breath in for a moment but it was like he couldn’t find the words; like he couldn’t get it out of his mouth.

“Mmh-“ Luke started and opened his eyes, to look back up at Michael. “What did he tell you?” He questioned as his gaze locked with Michael’s.

“Uh- nothing. It’s nothing-“ Michael mumbled, chickening out. He looked away to avoid eye contact with the younger boy. It was too strange, he believed. He couldn’t just say that, out of nowhere. Luke would think he was stupid and he absolutely didn’t want that.

“Mikey.” Luke said. He put a hand to Michael’s cheek and forced him to look back down at him. “What did he tell you? You can’t seriously mean you’re shy around me now?” Luke added, referring to the fact that they were both half-naked and to what had just went down between them, again.

“No, it’s not that.” Michael defended himself. “It’s just that- I might or might not be a little afraid that it’s not true.” He said and couldn’t help but blush a little. Right now he actually kind of wished the darkness in him would come forward; it was a little more confident than he was, himself. On the other hand he liked having Luke to himself and he couldn’t help but adore the teen on the bed with him.

After a few seconds of silence, Luke couldn’t contain himself. It was like there were something in Michael’s eyes, that pulled him closer and he leaned up, pressing his lips softly to Michael’s beautiful ones. When then parted, Luke watched Michael’s eyes staying closed for a moment longer, not knowing that the older teen were actually fighting something inside of him. The darkness had decided that it was time to surface, like it could never get enough of Luke’s touch, but Michael had only just decided with himself that he’d prefer not having to share with the demon inside of him. At least not it was actually possible to not have to share. “What did he tell you Mikey?” Luke tried again.

“He told me-“ “It was before all of this. He told me that you- Uhm. That you wanted me, just as much as I wanted you. Want you. I didn’t believe him.”

“Why?” Luke asked under his breath. Knowing that his breath would be gracing over Michael’s lips and by now, he was guessing it probably wasn’t making things easier for the older teen, who were now leaning over him.

“Why, what?” Michael questioned and furrowed his eyebrows slightly. He wasn’t oblivious; he knew what Luke meant, but he just wanted a little more time to figure out how to put it.

“Why didn’t you believe him?” Luke tried again, with his eyes big and glassy. Right now Luke was just adorable and Michael knew that right now, there was no reason to fear the darkness coming forward. As long as Luke stayed adorable like this, without any actual hints of being sexy, he was pretty safe, or so to speak.

“I’m an asshole; why do you think I didn’t believe him?” Michael blurted out before he even realized it. He blushed a little, but he knew the words were true. He’d been treating Luke like shit for far too long and he were sorry; but he also knew that sorry wasn’t going to change what he did.

“You’re not an asshole.” Luke tried, but Michael didn’t believe him.

“Most the time I am, actually.” Michael mumbled. He were so in love with Luke, and he wanted to believe him when he said that Michael wasn’t an asshole. But he knew that he had been. “You didn’t forget, did you?” He then questioned.

“Well, okay sometimes, but most the time you’re not.” Luke replied. He knew as well, that Michael had been sort of a jerk, but that didn’t stop him from realizing that most of the time he was actually nice. The problem for Luke though, was the fact that he still didn’t know why Michael had been treating him like that. And why Luke liked him anyway.

Silence settled down between them. Michael didn’t know how to reply to that. It made him happy that Luke didn’t think he was all that bad, but something was moving inside of him again. He lying. He only liked me. I’m the one he wants. Not you. You’re the one who’s a complete jackass to him. Michael closed his eyes, as though he’d been hoping, that closing them would also shut out the voice in his head. The familiar, dark and raspy voice that he hated so much. I’m the one who’s good to him. You just so happens to be the body I do it through. He doesn’t want you. He wants me.

“I do though.” Luke’s voice pulled Michael back to reality and his eyes opened to looked down at Luke. Finding his gaze and focused on it, to keep him steady. He was afraid that Luke had seen how the darkness of his eyes had moved out of the way, for the usual white color around his pupils. He hoped not, but he couldn’t help but be a little afraid. He just then realized that Luke was expecting an answer, but he hadn’t heard what the blonde had said.

“What?” Michael wondered; hoping Luke would forgive him, for not realizing what he’d just said.

“I do want you just as much as you want me.” Luke stated with a little nervous smile playing at the corners of his mouth. He’d realized that he actually didn’t know how much Michael wanted him. Mostly because of the things that had happened between them, and how confusing thing were a the moment. Luke knew though, that if Michael wanted him at least just the slightest bit, Luke did want him just as much. Quite possibly even more, Luke agreed with himself.

“I don’t get why, though.” Michael said. He just then realized that this must’ve been just about the longest conversation the two of them had ever had, without the demon inside of Michael, popping up to try and say something sexual, or Michael pushing the demon away, but hurting Luke.

“Is that really important? Isn’t the important part that I actually do?” Luke smiled and earned a little laugh in return from the older teen.

“Of course.” Michael agreed and couldn’t help himself; he had to lean down to kiss Luke again. At first the kiss were soft and gentle, but soon both of them had parted their lips and they moved in synch with each other.

Luke soon asked for entrance but for some reason, Michael pulled way, panting with his eyes screwed shut.

“I’m sorry.” Michael mumbled. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry-“ he continued, searching for the light inside and tried desperately to pull it forward.

“Hey. Mikey it’s fine. Hey. I’m here. Don’t be sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong.” Luke tried to comfort Michael the best he could, but since he didn’t know what was going on, he didn’t really know exactly how to do just that. Comfort him.

Just then, Michael decided it was time. He didn’t even think when he opened his eyes, showing Luke his other side. He eyes were completely black when he looked down at the other teen, who just let out a little gasp; causing the darkness to creep back from Michael’s eyes again.
