'Never would a droplet of blood make me see myself in a whole new light; tonight, I saw it.'

“You’ve said your piece, hand over it- or I’ll land you with your face down in this bloodshed.”

“Nobody was supposed to get hurt, you said those exact words to me.”

“Did I? Sorry, but if you expect us to make profits from them alive. You’ve got something wrong with your head, kiddo.”

“So, you lied to me? USED ME? I never saw you for the kind of guy to throw his own son out and be done with him.”

“Sacrifices. Surely you’ve heard of it, I bet you’ve used it, son. You are to blame for all of this, I simply tried to tweak something, hold a piece out to the family. Share the glory with them. I fucking respect that!”

“She didn’t have to die. You told her that all would be better, your words, right?”

“Kid. I have times where I’m needy, and so does she- well, she did. But now times have changed, little time I know, but when you’ve got a wad of cash- it’s hard to back down to your flesh and blood.”

“If you are telling me that CASH means more than FAMILY to you... then you need help. Not me, I saved her from you- made her stay a little longer.”

His dad losing his temper, calmed himself down holding a knife behind his back.

“…Really?... You gave her- time? Precious time? TIME that I could’ve done with while I held back the fucking feds! Sick, cruel, what a monster, Son. Look into your old man’s eyes and tell me the goddamn fucking truth!”

Fiddling with the knife in his left hand behind his back; he stared at his son as he could see nothing but forgiveness in him.

“Yeah, I’m sorry about that Dad. But my old man should know not hurt women. I learned that because I had to, I was pretty much made to learn that, Dad!”

“Not really, son. You always had a chance to back down. Not that you need to back down to your old man; weak, pathetic, I stand here insulting myself. What a joker.”

“Not going to give it up yet? Your fortune ends tonight. I heard what he said.”

“Oh, Jason don’t know shit. He thinks he does but really- He don’t. If I’m honest with you, the plan was to run away. It was to leave the bloodbath behind, and I’d rather float than sink to the bottom of it all. Don’t you want to come with?”

“I-I can’t just leave. You know, she misses you, and I’m sure the other one liked you. Just enough to forgive you, I forgive you. I know, it sounds crazy but I do.”

His father slammed the knife into an electrical cord, smiling at his son.

“I’ll show you- I’ll show-show-show you what a JOKE you’ve become.”

Watching his father change in emotion, he could see the knife digging into the circuitry.

“Okay, you’re insane. But I don’t hate you for it, I respect you for showing it.”

“Did your friend’s old man ever shock himself? I mean, I remember one time where I shocked my whole family. ‘But daddy, he was like this Tall, I mean how could he possibly shock you?’ – My old man was a murderous bastard. Selfish, and only wanted what I want now; my freaking fortune, my freaking WORLD.”

“I’m sorry… I didn’t know.” Hi son cried into the carpet.

“W-WATCH ME” His father dug deeper and soon was lit up by the brightness of sparks, and electricity going faulty. “Watch me… son, like- you used to.”

“You see, I had a fitting end. I got to watch my old man die, and I didn’t cry really. I just showed my true self to him, and he accepted it with happiness I guess. I mean the shock on his face made me see what a great man I’ll turn out to be.”
