Silver Eyes

Madeline is no ordinary girl, she's a werewolf. Living in a town full of werewolves she is still different having silver eyes. Then she learns of a legend that includes her. Will she say yes to the legend or will she let the evil consume all werewolfs.

1. Lights in the sky

As Madeline climbed onto the roof of her house there was no activities occurring in the sky, or on the streets for that matter. Everyone living on leaf street was preparing for the auroras that were said to happen that night. She laid the heart blanket across the shingles of the roof. She sprawled out on top of the blanket staring at the night sky. The weather said it was slightly cloudy but there wasn't a cloud in sight. She laid there all a lone, because her mom was out working late, as usual. After Madeline's dad had left, her mom had to work two jobs to pay for everything. Her dad was a normal human unlike her mom, who was a werewolf. Once her dad found out about them being werewolves he left, Madeline was only ten years old.

In the distance she could hear kids 'ooing' and 'ahhing' as the auroras appeared. She looked up at the colors in the sky. Purples, greens and blues, she even thought she caught a glimpse of red. She stared in awe, as car lights approached the drive way. She was so focused on the sky she didn't even notice her mom climb up onto the roof and lay beside her. Mary Tucker wrapped her arm around her daughter, staring up into the Alaskan sky. It was a chilly night but being werewolves they were adapted to the cold and had no use for a coat. Fifteen past midnight and the auroras stopped, but by then the Tucker's were fast asleep. Little did they know after tonight their lives will be changed forever.
