1. This is it

Take a deep breath; breath in out,
Say "I'm okay" and ignore the doubt,
Brush away the fears that hang about,
They won't bother me anymore.

Steady my hand; don't let it shake,
Pretend I'm bored though I'm wide awake,
Try not to fidget, but I can't help ache,
It can't bother me anymore.

This is it.
Pressure's been building up; I can't take it anymore,
Thinking 'bout the moment I walk through that door,
Feels like the end of a long, long war.

How will it end?
Will I emerge like a newly-crowned queen?
Or left alone like a broken vending machine?
Or is the answer unforeseen?

Sitting alone; waiting for it to start,
Everyone else can't wait to take part,
But I can't control the rate of my heart,
I just wan't to be like them.

Wishing to myself; I let out a sigh,
My eyes start to water but I won't let myself cry,
No-one here will turn a blind-eye,
Yet I just want to be like them.

The lady calls; It's time to go,
I wish I didn't feel so low,
How will I do? Nobody knows,
I wish myself luck and go in.
