A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (and hopefully beyond).
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

148. Christmas 2017

26th December 2017, 18:58,

Today is Boxing Day and yesterday was Christmas, yay!! This was the first year that we didn't come all together and so it was a small Christmas with just me and my parents. But before we get on to Christmas lets cover Christmas eve.

It was quite a normal day until the evening where I had a pamper session and cleaned my room. Then I got given my Christmas pyjamas which is tradition by now, Harry Potter pyjamas with a hood so I looked a bit like a death eater. Then I watched Mamma Mia which is also a tradition since me and my sister always watch it on Christmas Eve, and Avengers both the first one and Age of Ultron. All in all it was pretty relaxing.

Now back to Christmas; my brother did come round and on the 23rd me and my sister did the whole transfer of gifts so that wasn't too bad. The day started early with me being up so that I could catch the sunrise on Christmas, which I normally wouldn't do because I would still be asleep.

Then I had a cup of tea and opened my presents. Since I'm older now and I have everything I need it was hard to shop for me I suppose but this Christmas I just got the essentials, a new curling wand and hair dryer since my last one broke, clothes, chocolates, a cute penguin duvet set and makeup. Then since I'm eighteen I got wine off of my brother and a Waterstones voucher which I was more than happy about because I am a natural bookworm.

It's my brothers wedding in four days so Christmas was a bit overshadowed by that phenomenon but the day was still good. I walked down to my grandma's, going through the park which is my Christmas day tradition.

Down at my grandmas I opened her gifts, wine and tartan pyjamas, and she opened mine, a glass stone inscribed with the words No Problem, my grandads favourite saying before he died.

I could see the tears in her eyes and that got me choked up so I hugged her. We had cups of teas and talked about family and watched the telly. Then I got called to say that the dinner was done and I rushed home thinking with my stomach.

My eyes were more hungry than my body as I loaded up on pigs and blankets, and stuffing and the lot. I was stuffed and I had to lay down for a bit.

I didn't even have space for dessert afterwards I had to wait.

We watched Christmas films and let our food digest, then I cracked open the bottle of Rose Wine I got and watched the Great British Bake Off which made me crave cake. During that I talked to my friend for three hours about all sorts, cake included, and just settled down with a good book and my wine.

That wine was good let me tell you.

I hope my day was as good as your's, Merry Christmas everyone even if it is a little bit belated.

Today I didn't go shopping because I know of all of the queues and crowds, so I've just relaxed and danced along to music basically all day.

Tomorrow I am so going to hit up the shops though, be rest assured.
