92. Chapter 92 : Home

Calum's POV

*3 Months Later*

"Got everything, babe?" I asked her.

"Yea! Is Chewie in already?"

"Yes," I replied as I ruffled Chewie's head. Aslan bounded out of the house and jumped in the backseat. They were both big now. They had grown over the past few months and since I haven't seen them in two months, they were big.

Helen closed the door behind her and locked it. She still looked as beautiful as when I left to Australia. The guys and I had gone back to Australia to visit our family. We stayed there for two months before we came back. Helen and I planned on road tripping. We weren't sure where, yet.

We had already said our goodbyes to everyone. We'd be back in two weeks.

"Have fun on the trip," Luke had said.

"We will," Helen replied before she hugged her dad.

"You're taking Chewie and Aslan as well?" Michael asked.

"Well yea, they are our dogs," I noted.

"He just wanted an excuse to take care of them," Ashton said before laughing at Michael's pout.

Andy came up to me, "Please take care of my daughter."

I nodded, "She'll be safe with me."

We had said our final goodbyes to them before getting back in the car and driving to the beach house to pack everything in the car. I just really needed a getaway with her. She smiled at me as she walked towards the car. She got in the passenger's seat and I closed the door for her.

I got in the driver's seat and slowly rolled out of the driveway. She took my hand as I drove. Onto a new adventure with the love of my life.

After driving for nearly four hours we arrived at a sea side town. It was small but heavily populated. I parked the car in a public parking space and got out. Helen grabbed Aslan's leash and I grabbed Chewie's

"Pismo Beach," I said.

"How do you know?" Helen asked.

I pointed to the hill I was previously looking at. She turned, "Oh, like the Hollywood sign."

The words 'Pismo Beach' were sat on the hill just below a school.

"How cool," She said.

We explored for the next few hours and eventually got some food. The restaurant we went to was called 'Hoagies.' It was really good and the food was delicious.

Helen managed to drag me to a farmers market. Various food stands were up. Some sold food, others announced they would draw your portrait. Helen went to a Mexican food stand. She began talking to them and asking how much something cost.

Sure she spoke to them in Spanish, but I managed to pick up a few things when she spoke Spanish to me through the months. She walked back to me holding a big plastic cup with three straws and various fruit.

"What's that?" I asked.

"It's called a Gaspacho, it looked good," She said as she took a sip. "Oh my god, this is so good! Try it!" She lifted it to me and I took a sip from the straw.

It tasted spicy and sour at the same time, "Not bad," I nodded my head.

I took Aslan's leash from her hand as we walked on the pier. I knew that she was deathly afraid of piers for who knows what reason but she was so indulged in her drink to care.

We passed the drink amongst us two and took turns to take sip from it.

"Did you get over your phobia of piers?" I asked.

She looked around, "Kind of, it's just the wooden planks that make me uneasy. The gaps in them are what gives me anxiety." She handed me a piece of pineapple. We both finished eating the fruit before she tossed the empty cup in the trash.

"That was good," She said as she leaned against the wooden barriers. I looked over the horizon. The sun was beginning to set. We walked back to the car. The ocean provided a cool breeze. I wrapped my arm around her waist. We finally reached the car, I opened the door for Aslan and Chewie to jump back in.

We drove around the town until we came across a steep hill. I drove up until I came across a stop sign and took a turn. It lead to a small park. No one was around and it over looked the entire city.

"This is nice," Helen said as we got out.

Chewie and Aslan got out and wandered off. We knew they'd come back. I followed her as she went towards the edge. I wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my chin on her head.

I'm wrapped around her finger. She can make me do anything. I'm in complete and utter love with her. We are turning a new page in the chapter. An adventure with Helen. I like the sound of that.

We watched as the sun went down. Chewie and Aslan sat next to our feet. Over the past year we have fought, argued, cried, screamed, laughed, loved, and kissed. We've said 'I love you' more than a hundred times. Our relationship has grown stronger than ever.

I realized that home is not a place, it's a feeling. I feel at home when I am with her. She's my weakness and my strength. My reason to wake up every morning. She's the moon and the sun at the same time. She's the love of my life.

"Babe," She said.

"Hmm?"

"You look so cool."

We both smiled and I realized she was quoting Robbers by The 1975. I brought my lips to hers. She really does have a face straight out a magazine.

"I'm here to stay, darling," I said.

God only knows, but I'll never leave her. I never want to leave her.

Even if I wanted to I can't.

I'm way too in love with her to leave.

I stared at the horizon. The world was in front of us, but I held my world right here in my arms.
