2. Chapter 2.

"Thank you," Christie smiled as the person at the McDonald's drive thru window handed her two bags of food, followed by four drinks in one of those cardboard holders.

Christie set the bags and drinks beside her and pulled out of the drive thru. She flipped on the radio and started to mumble along to the words of 'Highway to Hell' by AC/DC. She tapped lightly on the steering wheel as she neared the motel.

"A little help here?" Christie said pushing the door of the motel open.

Sam quickly stood up and walked over to Christie, taking a bag and the drinks from her arms. "Thank you," she breathed out. They set the bags next to Dean who was sitting at the small table by the door.

"Bacon cheeseburger for you," Christie said pulling out a container and handing it to Dean, "and for me," she mumbled with a slight smirk. "Sam, I got you a salad," she said handing it to Sam, "Health freak," she muttered to herself

"Um, I didn't know what you wanted," Christie said turning around to face Kevin who was standing on the other side of the room, "So I got you this," she said tossing the small, red box to him.

Kevin caught the small box and examined it, "A Happy Meal?" he questioned.

Behind Christie, Dean began to cough on the bite of his burger he had just taken, trying not to laugh as Sam snickered beside him.

"Sorry," Christie shrugged taking a seat across from Dean. "Figure anything out while I was gone?" she asked before taking a bite of her burger.

"Yeah, we actually solved the entire case!" Dean said looking up at Christie with sarcasm clear in his voice, "Already killed the thing too! So I guess we can be on our way!" he smiled, "What do you think, kid?" he said leaning back in his chair.

"You know," Christie smiled, "you could have just said you were a lazy ass and didn't get a thing done in the thirty minutes that I was gone,"

Kevin chuckled from his seat on one of the beds and Dean shot him a quick glare before taking another bite of his burger. "Um," Kevin said standing up, "I actually think I have something,"

"Tell us then," Dean said, his mouth full.

"Wait," Christie said stopping Kevin from talking, "you guys were serious about thinking a witch is behind this? Like an actual witch? Like the Sanderson sisters?"

"Um, yes?" Kevin said as more of a question than a statement.

"She's new," Sam said to Kevin, "But these witches are the real deal," he said turning to Christie.

"So a witch, is turning people, into animals?"

"Witch is just a guess," Kevin corrected.

"Okay, so something is turning people into animals. For what?" Christie asked confused.

"Revenge?" Kevin suggested.

"It kind of seems like they were trying to teach these people a lesson," Christie said wiping her hands on her jeans, "A guy not backing off this girl, someone spraying perfume in a crowded bus, both pretty douchey things to do,"

"But if you're going to teach someone a lesson, shouldn't it be, uh, a little bit worse that spraying perfume?" Dean asked.

"It caused a little girl to have an asthma attack," Christie said glaring at Dean. "It could have killed her,"

"You got me a girls toy?" Kevin complained from the other side of the room.

"Didn't think you'd care," Christie chuckled. "Here," Kevin said tossing the toy to Christie, "You have it,"

"Well, if you're going to be a baby about it," she mumbled catching the small toy in her hand. Without even looking at it, Christie shoved the plastic toy into her jacket pocket.

"Okay," Dean said standing up, "Sam, you look into seeing if anything like this has ever happened before, animal wise. Kev, Chris, you two do some research on whatever can turn people into furrys,"

"And what are you going to do?" Christie asked looking up at him.

"I'm going to get another room," He said turning to her.

"Why?"

"Well the four of us all can't share this one," Sam saying with his hands on his hips.

"Well, okay," Kevin says crossing his arms, "then me and...," he turned to Christie, "Chris, right?"

"Only Dean can call me that," Christie said blankly as a small smirk appeared on Deans face.

"Sorry," Kevin said awkwardly, "Christie and I can sha-"

"Hell no!" Dean interrupts, "You two are NOT sharing a room! Sam, you can Kevin can have this room. Chris, you and me have the other,"

The room becomes uncomfortably silent as Christie stands up and wipes her hand on the back of her jeans. "Well, that was awkward," she whispered softly. "Can you go get the keys for the other room before the awkward level rises," She mumbled as she turned to Dean.

"Yeah, alright," Dean grumbled, not talking his eyes off of Kevin, "Get our things out of the car and meet me outside," He said quickly glancing to Christie and throwing her the keys to the Impala.

Dean grabbed his jacket and opened the door of the motel room, stepping out into the chilling air. Sam, Christie and Kevin stood in silence as Dean slammed the door behind him.

"I'm, just going to go, and get our stuff now," Christie said backing up towards the door. She turned to the door and opened it.

Christie fumbled with the keys to the Impala in her hands as she made her way to the back of the car. She quickly opened the trunk and pulled out her and Dean's bags, along with Sam's, putting her bag with her laptop and such over her shoulder.

"Christie?" A voice asked as she slammed the trunk shut. Christie looked up to see Kevin standing awkwardly beside her.

"Yeah?" Christie asked shifting her weight on her feet.

"Sorry-uh-um, I'm sorry about what-about what happened inside," Kevin stuttered out, "I didn't mean to make everything so... awkward,"

"Um, it's okay," Christie said bending down and picking up her and Dean's bags.

"Do-do you need any help?" Kevin asked lowering his arms.

"That's Sam's," Christie said gesturing to the bag at her feet, "Mind giving it to him?"

"Oh, uh, sure," Kevin said quickly bending down and picking up Sam's bag from the ground.

"Thank you," Christie smiled, "I guess Dean and I will see you in the morning?" Christie asked moving past Kevin, towards the office at the front of the motel.

"Um, yeah, suppose so. Um, why-why don't you call him Dad?" Kevin questions.

"Long story," Christie sighed. "Maybe you could tell me about it sometime?" Kevin asked.

"Maybe." Christie laughed backing up. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Christie turned around and walked up to the front desk. As Christie neared the door Dean stepped out. "Where are we?"

"Right next to Kevin and Sam," Dean said taking his bag from Christie's hand.

"Dean?" Christie asked sitting up. She had been laying down with her laptop on her lap, scrolling though different articles and websites and such that had anything to do with witches or whatever could turn people into animals. "Dean." Christie said again.

Christie looked up to see Dean, asleep in his chair, with his arms crossed and his head leaning against the wall. Christie sighed and set down her laptop beside her. She stood and made her over to Dean. She put her hands on her hips as Dean snored softly in front of her

Christie walked over the bed that was supposed to be Dean's and removed the blanket. She laid the blanket over Dean and pushed his hair off of his forehead.

Christie walked over to her bed and opened her bag, pulling out something more comfortable to change into. She stepped into the bathroom and quickly changed. She put her hair up into a bun and walked back into the main room.

Christie closed her laptop and climbed under the blankets of her bed, slowly drifting off to sleep.
